Excellent Stay

We were just passing through on our road trip out west. This was a halfway point for us. Very clean hotel, very clean town. Restaurant was supremely excellent. The room was extremely clean and spacious. There were two showers. Did not expect that. 2 king sized beds were excellent. We also used the pull-out sofa which was also excellent. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Breakfast burritos, breakfast tacos with carne asada. Waffles, roasted potatoes, yogurt parfaits, and homemade pastries. I don't know that we will ever have the need to pass through Salina, KS again, but it was a great overnight visit.

The property was great and the majority of the staff were great. The person that was working the front desk in the middle of the night when we arrived could use some customer service training. The property does not have shuttle service to the airport. The service stars would be elevated if they had a plan to help their guests get to the hotel when their flight has been delayed and arrives in the middle of the night. The taxi companies were all closed and we were having no luck getting an Uber. The front desk person when they finally answered the phone, told us “I don’t know what to tell you”. Fortunately, the security guard came to our rescue. Other than the initial distress of trying to get to the hotel, the rest of the stay, staff and area were great.
