Tub floor had red stuff on it. Mold looking substance around top of tub. Bathroom faucet leaked all over. Thermostat didn’t work correctly. Would have been nice if restaurant in building had take out to take to your room.

Staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. I have a dust allergy and the room was clean and free of dust. The bed was comfortable for people in their 70's and neither me nor my husband had trouble sleeping. We ate dinner in the restaurant where the staff were also friendly and smiling. It was an enjoyable experience.

Accommodating Stay

Quick overnight for a workshop in Bangor. The hotel has a couple of dining options that are fair and a casinofor entertainment. Free parking in the garage is a plus.The staff at the front desk, in the restaurant and casino were all very friendly and informative.

The stay at Hollywood Slots in Bangor was excellent in that the casino was fun and not very busy. Food at HOPS 99 was exceptional- especially their Reuben. Waitress and bar tender at HOPS are wonderful people. Rooms were clean and comfortable with the exception of the bed. The bed in room 413 was uncomfortable as the head of the bed was tipped down as the mattress is worn making for a bad nights sleep as no one likes sleeping feeling like they are partially sleeping on their head. They really need to pay more attention to when mattresses need to be replaced.

Nice place but a lot of walking.

The only problem I had was the amount of walking I did just to get from room to casino - never mind anything else. Plus it’s very confusing how to get around at first. As far as the location of the hotel, the hospitality, the cleanliness, and having a couple of places to eat was great! If you have a hard time getting around because of joint problems like I do then be warned I was hurting.

The only thing that was frustrating was that there’s no temperature control that actively works in the room. There’s no fan or movement of air so it can get quite stuffy. Other than that it was a great room and very clean!

My 79 year old mother was having surgery at EMMC early in the morning so we decided to get a room in Bangor the night before. This was a high risk procedure which could have gone badly so I wanted to take her somewhere a little nicer. The casino was secondary to my choice of this hotel, although we thought we might spend a little time there before bed. Room was very comfortable but no info about local places to eat other than on site. Those menus were very limited. We walked across the street for dinner which is on the casino side of the facility. My mother became ill at dinner so we boxed our food and went back. Instead of walking around the back side of the facility to the hotel entrance we choose to enter the casino side as she was cold and having difficulty walking back. We were stopped at the front, asked for id to price we were over 21, which was funny, but then told we couldn't walk through because we had food. So I walked my 79 to Mom back out the door and all the way through the parking garage instead. He could have just had us escorted across the floor. Also, when we checked in I told the desk clerk that we had to be at the hospital at 5 so we were checking out early. This hotel does not allow for contactless check out. She said there's someone at the desk 24-7, but when we got to the front desk in the morning there was a sign that said back in 5 minutes. Nice room, but the staff could definitely be more accommodating.

First of all we checked in on a Wednesday night and they thought it would be great to put us at the end of a long hallway. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, but the thermostat only worked when someone was moving around the room (not something you do at night). The room was very hot and we did not sleep well. The casino was very far away from the casino and the casino was mostly penny slots. They did have table games for my husband but only a few were open. They had limited video poker in a very small far off part of the casino.
