I booked a room with a 'view' -- but when we arrived, the room was on the first floor, facing a wall view -- to it sure felt like a bait & switch type of thing. Also, the room smelled. It was the heating unit, it smelled of chemicals - and when I asked the staff for a different room, he basically said "you booked with Expedia, sorry" He was less than friendly, and was rather intimidating. We had to sleep with the window open, and no heat. Not a great night-- and a real mistake for us on our cross country drive. As for the 'breakfast' to quote one of the other guests... the eggs were "iffy' so we decided to skip it and go to McDonalds across the street (hadn't had McD's breakfast in years, but it was preferable to the hotel offerings). Overall, thinking we'll never stay at another LaQuinta Inn again. ever.
