Unfortunately, we stayed at this Homewood Suites while they were under construction. So the photos we saw prior were incredibly misleading. We accepted fairly quickly that's just the way it was and went about our stay. Then we used amenities like the pool and the laundry room and found them to be unacceptably filthy. We swept and picked up both rooms because nobody from the hotel touched them in days. Unexpected construction was fairly easily accepted, but if you have rooms or amenities open to the public, they should be maintained. We truly didn't mind stepping over the loose nails or on the freshly laid carpet glue, but the filth in the rooms that weren't being worked on was simply disgusting. That being said, once construction is complete, this place should be nice. The staff were all very friendly and the location was fantastic for our family who was looking to get out of the house for a few days. The rooms were nice, clean, and good size. We won't be going back anytime soon, but we'll definitely consider it once construction is completed.

This hotel has become one of my preferred choices to date. The room provided excellent value for the price and was both pleasant and well-maintained. The staff exhibited remarkable professionalism and courtesy. Additionally, the gym and pool facilities were commendable. Although certain areas of the hotel are currently undergoing construction, our experience was not disrupted in any way.

Great, even during construction

This is usually an excellent place to stay. I just happened to stay during construction this time. My room was very comfy and breakfast was great. The workout room is like an actual gym.

The property is very clean and new. The bed was very comfortable. It is undergoing renovations and the pool and hot tub was unavailable. This was my main reason for choosing this hotel. Their staff are super helpful and friendly. I did not get my room cleaned during my stay so cannot comment on that since they clean every other day. The breakfast was not very good. I would say a Best Western Breakfast is better. Their eggs tastes like it comes from a carton. Their hashbrowns are dry, microwaved and cold. They oddly had white rice. Their breakfast food was lukewarm if not outright, cold. Their breakfast selection was limited and disappointing. The location is good as it is a 15 minute walk to Alderwood Mall. However, the property does not have a sidewalk, which made it a little bit unsafe.

The property is nice enough, but we just had too many annoying things happen. Upon check in, we were told that the pool was closed for renovations. When we booked several weeks before the stay, there was no indication at that time that this was happening. There was no email or any info communicated through Expedia about this. When checking into our room, we noticed right away that there were beard shavings all around the bathroom sink area. The sink was also backing up slightly. Next, the wifi did not work. The front desk agent was nice enough, but she did not know how to fix it. She mentioned that others had called with the same issue. I was given a number to call for tech support. I spent 15 minutes on the phone with the IT person and had to read her all of the wifi numbers from each all of our devices. She then said it would be escalated and each device would have to be manually put onto the network. The next morning, we had wifi. We also had a problem with the door handle. It wouldn’t open on a few occasions, unless it was lifted up. Pushing down wouldn’t work. Just odd. Lastly, the breakfast was very average. The sausages and waffles were nice, but both mornings, the potatoes were undercooked and the eggs tasted like they were made from a powder.
