Mountain retreat

Very clean. Highlight was game room in basement with pool table, air hockey, arcade, TV and bar. Very cute cowboy decor throughout. We couldn’t get the PlayStation to work but didn’t miss it. Very relaxing& beautiful area. Only downsides were slot of bees in the front of the house & some in back porch areas. We were afraid to navigate the narrow windy roads at night and it’s a bit of a hike

Perfect cabin with awesome views!

Her family enjoyed our stay at this cabin. There is plenty of room and lots to do pool table, air hockey, arcade games, cornhole, Dart board, poker chips and cards... we never ran out of things to do. It's a hike to get to this cabin but the views are wonderful. We even saw a mama bear and Cub walking through the backyard one morning. The driveway is a little steep, but I don't think there's any way around that. We would definitely come back!

Very clean, quiet, well stocked and comfortable. Only negative was the wifi not to good and the view wasn't what we expected. Other than that really loved the cabin and being visited by the black bears made our stay so much more enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

We had a blast!!!

One of the best places we have stayed. The cabin is amazing, we loved the game room downstairs. It let me and my son wake up earlier and not bother the rest of our party. The only downside was the road to the cabin was very narrow and on a steep mountain.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful time and the game room was fun. I almost didn't book because of the steep driveway warning, but I'm glad i did. It wasn't that bad and like others said, backing in is much better. The location is great no matter what you want to do. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just a short drive and hiking was close too. Our family had a great vacation here!

Beautiful but major well water issues

We loved the location, decor and design! Rich, the owner, was very nice and responsive. However, 2 days into our week stay, the water pressure continued to get worse. The 1st response from Vacasa was a suggestion that we check with neighbors if they were having same problem. Really?? That ruined my opinion of Vacasa. We were not knocking on stranger's doors! After a few calls and emails, Rich contacted us. He offered to try to get us relocated but we were all unpacked (day 3). Had we known it would progressively get worse, we would have taken the offer. Thursday night was getting bad. The well guys shut the water off completely Friday afternoon! Our car was in the drive and they didn’t bother to knock or call. They LEFT with it still turned off!!! I realize that is on the well guys, but it was extremely frustrating. I contacted Rich, and he came right over. It seemed okay when he left so we all showered and went out to dinner. Upon returning around 9:30p.m. we once again had virtually NO water. Brushed our teeth using bottled water, could not shower, rinse dishes or make coffee before leaving the next morning. The water pressure was NEVER good but the end of the week was terrible. Yes, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the bears visiting, location and ample space. Rich was as frustrated as we were, but they knew the prior tenants had issues so why not relocate us before we got there? Vacasa finally refunded 1 night, but I felt like 3 would have been more reasonable.

Wonderful Weekend

You won’t be disappointed! This house is clean and spacious. The location is great and the views are beautiful. The amenities are wonderful- beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the lower level- game room. We traveled with my 79 year old father-in-law, my husband, and our two teenage kids. We enjoyed having our own space (the house is very quiet by the way). We can’t wait to come back! Side note- yes, the driveway was steep and reversing into the spot was helpful. However, we were expecting something worse like another house we visited in NC. This was very easy to maneuver, so please don’t let this sway your decision!

Comfortable place but hard to get to

The cabin was comfortable, but the kitchen was so small it was hard for two of us to work in it at the same time. The lighting in the dining room was too dim to read by. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the game room downstairs was fun. The outside deck was a great place to sit and watch the sunset. The driveway was pretty difficult, as you can't see over the hill at the top.

No need to look further

Giddy Up Cabin is the perfect spot for your Great Smokey Mountains get away. All attractions and must visit spots in the park are just a short drive from this hillside slice of heaven. Clean, well stocked and cozy are what you get at Giddy Up! Great WiFi! Cell coverage?…not so much. There is a free land line if needed. Morning coffee on the upper deck for sunrise and evening cocktails in the hot tub for sunsets! Like most reviews you will read, the driveway is intimidating at first try. I found backing in and hugging the edge closest to the road to be the best way down. If you do not have a backup camera, a spotter should help. Very well maintained, check in and check out are simple. Host company does a fantastic job of keeping you informed of what’s next along the process. Virtually painless. Would absolutely recommend.

Stop Scrolling and Book this Cabin

We had a wonderful time at the property. My adult Children and us enjoyed the Hot Tub, Pool Table, Cornhole, and Poker Chips. We all enjoyed gathering to watch football. The Wifi was excellent. You will want to enable your cellular to WIFI calling as our AT&T and T-Mobile phones wouldn’t work on the Mountain without it. They have literally thought of everything. Hillbilly Pancake House and Elvira’s are a short drive and wonderful breakfast options.

Very pleasant cabin with lots of space. Activities and games in the cabin were enjoyed by the whole family. Largest disappointment for our stay is that the "host" is an international management firm, so when attempting to call the "host" to obtain additional information and help, we only we able to reach an international operator who was unable to assist us at all.

Family Getaway

The property is as shown. As others have said, a very steep driveway, backing in is definitely recommended. We went to the cul-de-sac and turned around, making it much easier. Plenty of room to spread out for the 7 of us. Close enough to attractions but far enough away to truly feel like you were in the mountains.
