Summary:
Fat Bottomed Squirrels, located near the top of Bluff Mountain, is a quiet, treasured getaway. Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway.

Enjoy the magnificent mountain views without ever having to leave your Smoky Mountain cabin.

Fat Bottomed Squirrels is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, studio style cabin located about 5 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge. There are phenomenal views from this intimate cabin - you can see forever!

The Space:
The cabin is a studio log cabin with a great Smoky Mountain view. Enjoy the covered deck with views for miles, hot tub and charcoal grill (charcoal not supplied). Inside there is massive, hand-crafted queen-size log bed. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen w/ dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig. It features a nice open floor plan with flat screen HDTV with cable, DVD player and Netflix, electric fireplace, and all linens supplied. Of course there is running water, central air/heat and high speed WiFi Internet.

Enjoy the convenience to area attractions like Dixie Stampede, Dollywood, and The Christmas Place.

The road up to the cabin is very STEEP. The access road to this cabin is paved but does have an incline. At times it narrows to one lane. It's about 1/2 mile of steepness. We can make it up in a Prius with no problem. This cabin is not for the less adventurous type. If you want flat roads this is not for you. If you want to be near the park with a breathtaking view and hiking nearby... look no further!

Motorcycles and trailers are not recommended. 4-wheel drive is recommended for adverse winter conditions. No refunds for weather or driving issues.

There is a floodlight camera on the exterior of the cabin to monitor the entryway. It lights the walkway for our guests, captures video of any wildlife that wanders near the cabin, and helps with weather monitoring and occupancy compliance.

There are only 5 other cabins on the road and thanks to this one’s location you have complete privacy.

Minimum age 21 to reserve the cabin.

You get the entire cabin to yourself.

The Neighborhood:
The cabin is 15 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway and about 20 minutes from Dollywood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, the Titanic Museum, Tanger Outlet Mall, and many other attractions. It's close enough to be convenient but far enough away to make you feel like you're in the mountains.

Other Things to Note:
The fireplace is shut down April to beginning of October - it's an area standard!

Interaction with Guests:
We are pleased to provide you as much information about the area as you like, but we won't bother you during your stay. We won't be onsite but are online to ensure you have a memorable stay.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Amazing place...

Great place. Requirements for 4-wheel drive in other reviews are a little overstated. Its a steep hill but you'll be fine. Barely heard anything from the neighbors. It's a very quiet spot and an easy drive to Townsend and to PF. Everything you could want and the views from the porch made getting up earlier and having an extra cup of coffee well worth it. Definitely would stay here again. Oh, the mama bear and her two cubs....that's why you go to the smokies. Such a treat.

Fantastic getaway

This place is spotless, on top of a mountain (don’t mind the exciting drive up a steep hill), and has stunning views. Hot tub is perfect, the place is tidy, clear and frequent coms with the host who is kind, and even the campfire spot was ready to go. Right near Dollywood, the Island, and some zip lining. Fantastic place.

The cabin was super cute and has been updated since the pictures online were posted. The log furniture in the listing photos no longer exist. This was my very first experience using VRBO. My wife and I decided on staying in a cabin for the first time in pigeon forge and decided on this one based on the previous reviews of other guests. Every thing about this experience was terrific! The cabin was beautiful. The check in experience and communication from the owners was nothing less than excellent. The view was beautiful and the cabin was welcoming and spotless. From the moment I booked our reservation, I instantly received a welcome note from the owners with all the information we needed. I received the address location and directions to get there, the wifi password and cabin door code information with 24/7 assistance in case we needed anything. Cell service in the cabin was great. The hot tub was great. The mattress was extremely comfortable. This was an amazing experience for my 25 anniversary and my wife and I would definitely choose this cabin again and can absolutely recommend without hesitation.

Needed Reset

Very clean and private. Decided to hit the tail of the dragon. Did some traveling through parts of the Smoky mountain 1000. We had some furry visitors on one night. The next morning we left for town and found them down the hill at a neighboring cabin having a picnic with the trash. Overall it it was great. We would come again.

This cabin was amazing. I loved everything about from the beautiful view to the amazing hosting. Me and my girlfriend stayed for two nights and we both had a great time. The cabin was very clean and well kept. We loved how close it was as to everything while also being tucked away to ourselves. The steep roads scared us at first but after the first time going up it wasn’t that bad I recommend turning off over drive if your car has that feature

Amazing view and peaceful property

We loved it! We booked this location for our birthday, me and my wife share the same birthday and decided a smoky mountain trip was something we needed to experience. Staying at the Fat Bottomed Squirrels cabin was amazing the view in the morning is incredible. Its location was perfect for a short drive to everything but secluded from almost everyone. I will be recommending this location to all my family and friends. The hosts are incredibly responsive and loaded us with all the good spots to eat explore and relax during our stay. Cabin was clean and appears to be extremely well maintained. Five stars from us for sure!!!!
