The phone in the room had no markings on it to indicate how to reach the front desk. That is a safety issue. I had to look up my reservation email and call the number listed. However, no one picked up. It was 10pm and a dog was barking and keeping us awake. We were less than thrilled. Please fix the phone with a list of extensions and have your staff answer the phone. In an emergency your guests have no way to reach the desk for help.

The person running the desk told me that Expedia only places a reservation and does not accept payment from my end and charged me for the room. This was not the case and I was double charged for the room. I am currently trying to recover the additional money that was taken.

Poor quality

For $422 I was very disappointed in the quality of the rooms. The painting was flaky. The gold on the lamps were all rusty like you have pictures have been through a flood. In the reservation at breakfast included, but when I went to get it, it was $16. There was one table outside to sit at, but it was so old we are afraid to sit on it. I would pay 130 tops for a night for this room. I will not be staying there again.

Unwanted guests

When we checked in, we were given the keys to someone else’s room. Got that rectified quickly. Air conditioning was blowing wet air all night. We were given ONE towel for three guests. Hallways and rooms had a terrible musty smell. Found several roaches in the bathroom. Tried to advise the front desk of issues and no response. Tried to contact the hotel corporate and they also don’t answer or seem to care. Their response was asking which location we stayed at and heard nothing since. Was definitely not worth over $500 surge pricing due to the event going on that night.
