It was quiet but the pool and hot tub needs a good cleaning and the plastic curtain to go out to the outdoor part of the pool are slimy and filthy and then there is a smell when we went into our room not a good one like mustie the whole place has a smell it is showing the age of the hotel needs a face lift never had breakfast in the morning

Won't be back.

No elevator. Stayed 3 nights and no room cleaning unless requested. Baked goods for breakfast were not fresh each day. Pool was dirty and whole area was very undesirable.

Great hotel close to downtown Galena.

Great hotel, very close to Galena and Ulysses S Grant's former home. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were spacious and clean. Got a good night's rest. Very quiet.

The under the sea suite I booked was nice, but the air filters for the heat and air were clogged and I ended up cleaning them out and the fish tank was extremely dirty both inside and out, the outside tank needed to be washed and the inside had a lot of fish poop in it, there were some lights out in the room also and the ceiling tiles in the hall looked like they had water damage, and we couldn’t get an signal on the WiFi for the room but we stayed only 2 nights, the room was nice otherwise and had a nice view to the woods behind it.
