Creepy hotel
Traveling for business alone, no rooms were available near Lexington Park, Md. Leaving me reluctant, yet desperate, I booked the room. The associate said very little at check in, she motioned her colleague & they both stared at the screen saying nothing. She gave me a room key along with directions to the elevator. Upon entering the room I found only 2 light's with 65-75 watt bulbs leaving the room too dark, furniture is old, worn and had black stains on chair. No cable, leaving me unable to watch live TV. Parking lot had 5 vehicles, and it seemed I was the only guest. Prior to unpacking I had an uneasy feeling, my gut screamed "get out of here". Less than a mile away was a Hilton Garden Inn, their parking lot was full. It seemed most people knew something I didn’t. I decided the alarm in my head couldn't be silenced, I collected my things and left without securing another hotel.The website says the property was renovated: if this is true, my interpretation is similar to putting lipstick on a pig.
I want to share my experience to bring attention for all solo traveler's in hopes of protecting another from this unpleasant experience.
