1st trip to south Padre Island

When we checked in I asked for 2 beds in one of our rooms which cost me an additional $78. And then we also paid an additional $15 cash for each person. The hotel is older with the range not connected and the dishwasher was out of service. Refrigerator worked. Hot tub was very hot and pool was very cold. The walk to the beach was ok. Overall it was adequate. During the reservation I was charged even though it was 2 months early and it was non refundable. I will not do that again.

The people were deceiving, they charged me “cash” for 2 wristbands ($30) that I never saw nor obtained. They also said “breakfast was not included” when clearly someone else from their staff said it was. Will not return to this property until there is a resolution.

The staff were an absolute joy. They were kind, helpful, and friendly. This was especially wonderful as we were coming from a hotel with employees that lacked hospitality. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The building is old and is in desperate need of upgrades and remodeling however it was clean and comfortable.

This is an excellent location if convenient beach access is on your list. Rooms are clean and the housekeeping staff works hard to keep you in fresh towels, etc. daily. The building is older and could use some TLC and plumbing upgrades, but it is "OK".

We booked a ocean view room. We received a call from the hotel saying our room was in need of repair so they offered a partial view with a king bed. We had other activities already booked and paid for so there was no way we would cancel. Wasn't offered any compensation

We booked a room with kitchenette based on the pictures on their website. What we got was nothing like the pictures! The stove was filthy. Countertop and top of fridge hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time!! Kitchen supplies were almost non-existent. No hair dryer! Our patio door was off the runner and didn’t open properly. Bathroom tub faucet was detached from the wall and water temperature was almost impossible to regulate. The AC unit was barely affixed to the wall and there was a constant whistling throughout the night. The pool and hot tub area left a lot to be desired…definitely below standard! Internet/wifi was terrible! Beds were comfortable enough. The hotel, including our room, is very dated, in dire need of an update. Overall rated 2 out of 10 and would not recommend! We ended up checking out early and moving to the Isla Grand down the street.

Liked how it was located near a beach access. Did not like the air conditioner/heater unit running constantly even through the night. The hot tub was not heated. The vending area was sparse. No entertainment in the hotel.

Kitchen is nice-actually has cups, plates, cutting board, soap. Nice size room- stocked well for long stays. Bed comfortable. Nicer than I thought. I’d stay again.

The staff at the hotel did upgrade the room because of it and uncleanliness. The floor was filthy and made our socks dirty when we walked on it. We were upgraded so they made up for it, but initially not good.
