It was nice.

I liked the view of the water and how quiet it was. The only negative was there was only one luggage cart. I was on the water side so I had to make about 3 trips. Staff were friendly. I would say there again.

Our room “looked” clean, but that wasn’t the case. Someone had placed a diaper over the smoke alarm and it was still there. The lamp by the window was held up by a plastic bag. The refrigerator hadn’t been wiped down inside. The shower and toilet had not been properly cleaned since there were hairs still in the tub and stains on the towels. I respect this isn’t a five star resort. However, “clean” isn’t too much to ask for any hotel or motel.

The room was very dirty so we checked another room to make sure there wasn't an oversight in cleaning the first one. The next room was just as dirty. I requested a refund and have had to reach out to hotels.com to have them intervene for the refund.

Above all, the friendliness of the staff is outstanding. Accommodating and helpful, friendly smiles, just overall excellent. Room was great, we had our dog, property was clean and walking distance of event we were vending at. Great views and right on the river. We loved it.

On the way back up.

We have stayed at this property for the Blue Crab Festival several times. It had been heading downhill the last couple of visits. It appears that there are new owners. The room was nicely updated (except for one VERY OLD/nasty reading chair), and the outside of the building was at the tail end of being painted. We were greeted professionally and enjoyed our stay.

Booked to be close to crab festival. Pleasantly surprised to receive complementary drinks upon check in. Noticed on site restaurant but didn’t try it since we were going to the festival. Pool was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, not Vegas strip good but good. I’d stay again.
