The EconoLodge near Pioneer Park in St. George, UT has a lot going for it. It is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and is close to the local high school, Utah Tech University, and the Shoppes at Zion. The continental breakfast consists of two choices of cereal, instant oatmeal, and muffins, with juice and coffee to drink. While the hotel being in close proximity to a large road is nice for getting places, it also added to the noise. Overall, the facilties seem a bit run down.
The pool and hot tub were ok, but the jets on the spa were missing the directional nozzles, so the jets shot straight up, and the pool tiles had enough build up on them that people had scratched messages into it. There was at least one damaged lounge chair on the deck. It was also inconvenient to have to get towels from the lobby to use at the pool, rather than them being stocked at the pool itself.
The television in our room would not work pro. The refrigerator seemed old, but was functional. Our toilet did not always flush properly, there was a hole on one side of the hollow bathroom door, as well as several cracked tiles and wall damage. The bathroom was dirty, the sink drained slowly, & some towels were stained. There were dead flies in the light fixtures. One electrical outlet and the surrounding wall was black from an electrical fire. There were no USB compatible charging outlets in the room.
For a one-night stay, it was workable, but I won't be a repeat customer.
