It is updated and nice for the price, no doubt. Also, the price for having a dog or 2 is excellent. The bad is that we could hear every creak from the people above. Also, if you are someone who likes to sleep with the room cold, no can do. They control your temperature and the a/c shuts off and on, no matter if you set it to automatic or not.

Find a better motel to stay in!

Breakfast was very limited in what was served & there signs to not take more than one item e.g. milk carton. Fancy pancake machine made awful tasting pancakes!! Very little variety with no fruit offered. Pool closed although temp in the 80’s. Dog fees quite high.

It was a work out.

The room was comfortable, but very dated. Since there was tile for flooring instead of carpet, It was a little cold underfoot. Also, since there was not an elevator, getting to my room was not very easy. Carrying luggage up stairs.

We really enjoyed our stay in Springfield, IL and also our stay in Cameron, IL. I was impressed by the hospitality, cleanliness, comfortable bedding, the delicious snacks offered in the lobby and the accommodations offered to allow 3 adults and 2 children to all share a single room, saving us a good bit of money! The girls also enjoyed the hotel pool and the free breakfast was delicious both mornings in Springfield.

The stay was fine, but the room I had originally booked on Hotels.com, a double queen handicap accessible, didn’t even exist at that motel. Had to settle for a double queen without the accessible amenities (or could have taken a single with accessible).

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room (107), but it could have been much different as our window was at ground-level of the swimming pool right outside. "If there had been kids..." We had scoped out the area on the way down, and the industrial nature of the neighborhood had prompted me to ask to see the room before checking in. That rankled the manager, but it seemed prudent to me. As I said, pleasant surprise.

Clean and Friendly but not desirable

Everything was clean and need and service fine...but the surroundings were not great especially for walking dogs. You park in a used car lot; little grass out front and tall weeds out back. Inside was fine other than being awaken by noisy voices between 1 & 2 am. You could hear everything outside of the room!
