First off, this was a nice surprise, and certainly a good value. The staff is excellent and friendly. Very clean property and maintained well for a property this historic. I recommend it highly, but, we had two issues that were recognized and ultimatley accomodated nicely. We had no hot water in our shower for both days, and yes, we stayed an extra day due to the first days experience, and though the folks said our room would be cleaned, it wasn't. HOWEVER, the staff did recognize the situation and HANDLED IT WELL. If we go back to KC, we will stay here again. By the way, the breakfast is good too, and the pool is expansive and looks like a great place for kids (indoor and outdoor swimming, so in the winter, it would be fun.) Give Stoney Creek a shot. Pleasant surprise!

The hotel is old. It could use an update. The hot tub was closed. They reopened the hot tub but the chemicals were so strong they had to close it again. The rooms are ok. Better than a motel 6 but worse than the Hilton.

Can't wait to come back!

Probably the best hotel I've stayed at, definitely the best within this price range. We got the room with the king bed and jacuzzi tub and it was super nice! Bed was comfortable, place stayed quiet during the night, and the staff was really friendly. It was exactly what our somewhat spontaneous overnight trip needed! Husband and I are always struggling to find quality time with each other between work, kids, pets, etc. so we decided to get away for the night and this place was absolutely perfect!

Property has a cool thing with the lodge log thing going on however, the wallpaper in the rooms and the plaster in the bathroom. We’re both in very sad condition. Also took a very long time to get hot water in the shower but after about five minutes, it was good and hot.
