The hotel staff from the lobby to the valet was very nice, however, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired!The hotel bathroom had hair on and in the shower head. It was blatant and made me think housekeeping may have taken shortcuts elsewhere. I informed the hotel upon returning home and they refunded me the cost I incurred for valet - $35.00. I spent close to $500.00 at the hotel, and it was insulting to be compensated for parking only. The general manager, Ms. Loscalzo, told me that I booked through Expedia and as a result their/Marriotts hands were tied. However, I subsequently contacted Expedia, and after explaining the scenario, they contacted the hotel about additional compensation (because they needed authorization from the hotel to provide compensation) and the hotel denied the request. I have been a Marriott Gold member for years and expect better! I would not recommend this hotel. Expedia did extend a good will gesture, which they did not have to do - the hotel should have provided some reimbursement - so I have every intention of booking through them again : )
