We enjoyed the uniqueness of the property. Nice to have food and beverage options at the hotel when we did not feel like going out and to relax at the pool bar. It's in easy walking distance to very good restaurants, and we felt safe walking at night. The front desk staff was friendly and professional.

While we love staying in an older hotel with classic looks and feel, this is an older hotel in need of upkeep. There were many cosmetic problems with this hotel that needed addressing. The front desk was cordial and helpful with check-in .The room itself was nice and clean but the bathroom was very small approximately 7 ft. By 5 ft. and was outfitted in what appeared to be basic home depot like fixtures. The small coffee bar downstairs was nice with good coffee and an assortment of muffins and pastries. The pool area and outside bar had a nice open feel to it with plenty of tables. We could not utilize the outdoor front porch seating area the next morning as it is obviously the designated smoking area. Overall, we felt that the room was somewhat overpriced for the property which was disappointing.
