The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was worried where we would park for the Penn State football game the next day and they allowed us to stay parked at the hotel lot and PSU stadium was walking distance from hotel (3/4 mile). Room was clean and quiet.

Terrible reservation coordination

Upon check-in we were told that there was a problem with the configuration of the rooms which I assumed meant there were no rooms with two queen beds. There were several people ahead of me in line that were having the same problem. One person did check in and came back and said they were given a king bed instead of a room with two queen beds. Due to one guest making it very difficult for the front desk clerk, who was trying very hard to be patient, we chose to stay somewhere else to lessen his burden. There was nobody else there to help him, the phone was ringing off the hook, there were 3 other families waiting to check in. it just was not the way I want you to start my weekend.

We chose this hotel primarily because of the outdoor pool, as there isn’t much to do around the property. The price was competitive with other nearby hotels, and I had planned to spend both days by the pool while my child attended orientation. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was out of service and wouldn’t be repaired for several days. We were directed to use the pool at another Hilton nearby, which was inconvenient and not what we expected when booking. This significantly impacted our overall experience, especially since the pool was a key factor in choosing this hotel. However the staff was so welcoming, breakfast was great and room was cleaned

Overall, my stay was comfortable and presented no problems. One thing that negated an excellent rating was having to pass cleaning carts to and from my room. Carts were left parked in the hallway overnight.
