Enjoyed our stay. Very convenient for skiing at Stowe. Nice lobby/lodge area where you can hang out if you want. The light breakfast option was perfect for us and set out earlier enough to hit first chair. Close to everything.

Good Stay

In general it was good. The first morning at the included breakfast was a disappointment. There was a large bowl labeled mixed berries that was empty. The oatmeal was crusted over and the cinnamon buns were dry. No covering over any of the food. There was still an hour left before breakfast was over. Our room was spacious. A lovely soaking tub. The drawback was that the ⁷bathroom door would not stay shut. The living room was very large. However, the rug was frayed and the drapes had tears in the light blocking liner. If you didn't shut the drapes it wasn't very noticeable. The TV in the bedroom didn't work. The unit was very clean.

The Field Guide Lodge has a great vibe and the common areas are wonderful. The Trailhouse King Suite was fantastic, a great space to relax and enjoy our vacation.

Very visually appealing environment, they had a band Saturday night, coffee tea and a bar, as well as breakfast. Our shower wasn't particularly large but it was nice. Be warned that the hot tubs not likely to be accessible during busy season because you have to reserve it and it's a four-person which serves the whole hotel

The common area/lobby is great! Nice spot to hang out and grab coffee or a drink at the bar. Staff and guests were friendly. Room and bathroom were a bit small but still a nice room.

Overall I really like this place. I mean the interior design is great and it has a cozy ambience. The room is clean and updated as well. Location wise it is downtown near restaurants and along the road. Also, parking is included and in the property. The only downside for us is we booked this place compare to others as it says “breakfast included” however the selection is not great and quite disappointing. Maybe, I’m just used to typical breakfast selections we had in previous hotel we’ve stayed in. Also, the few food selection is not labeled making it not allergy friendly. So I had to message front desk to bring up my nut allergy which I had some that does not look like it nuts since there is not really variety to choose from. Then she said that the biscuit may have nuts. I had it and I was fine but this could be something avoided. I feel like both party me and the staff could have known better though but could be avoided with proper labels. Overall, I recommend this place but maybe just do not expect much for the breakfast. And if you are coming during Winter time there are other hotels around the area that offers more amenities such as heated pools. They do have hot tub but you have to make an appointment.

Stub it up!

We had stayed in this hotel previously and were thrilled with the ambiance, service, and attention to details. This trip 4 years later to the same hotel was very different. The place desperately needs a deep clean. The shine and glisten is gone and replaced by 4 years of wear and tear of the property. The staff is superb.
