An absolutely wonderful Inn by Stowe!

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and so grateful we booked a room here. This inn has so much charm. The room was wonderful, pool was new, hot tub was new, and the sauna was also in excellent condition with a new heating element! The bridge over the pool was such a nice touch! They even had coffee ready at 6AM which was perfect as we had a long drive up to Canada and needed to leave early. I wish we were able to stay for breakfast since the dining room had a fireplace and the bar area was so cool. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Stowe!!

Old school still has appeal

We loved it! Perfect distance from the mountain and the sauna, hot tub, pool combo made post skiing extra relaxing. Will be back.

I will be honest it’s an outdated property for sure . Once you’re in there you can see they try to keep up with other hotels . My biggest issue was that I was charged an extra $412.00 for not remembering to include my children in the initial reservation. I reserved double queen room and it has a capacity of 4. When checking in the lady who checked me in was rude and off putting when she asked how many of us there was . I said 5 in total not thinking this would mean anything, but she made a few remarks to me including I don’t need to let you stay here as the room is for 4 and you didn’t list your children. This was not done on purpose . It’s spring break for my kids and I work full time and wanted to do something fun for my family. That’s all I wanted . I believed I was being asked to pay incidental fee as well as for one child ( again double queen ) capacity of 4 and went on my way . After a week of no charge being refunded back to me I called the hotel and spoke with Mike . Mike somehow has come up with this idea that because I did not list all 3 kids I was dishonest on propose and therefore told me this is a regular routine all hotels do. I in fact went to Expedia and reserved a room for 4 and low and behold it was the same amount as it was and is for 2 . Also after speaking to this owner Mike he says he went and watched and listened to the entire check in process and claimed I was fine with paying $412.00 lol . Not true

Great staff, great location, clean room

Perfect location: few minutes driving to Stowe or bus stop in front of the hotel. Good condition: surprisingly large and warm swimming pool for b&b of this size. Excellent service: Andy has been always polite and helpful for everything. Towels replaced every morning swiftly. Note: we have no house keeping for our whole stay of 6 nights, even they said they would do it on the 5th day of the stay.

Overall Great

Northern lights is right on the strip on the way to Stowe. The free bus runs right by it. You get a free hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, granola, fruit, etc). You place an order with whatever you like. Is it a super fancy modern place? No, but it does the job with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great location. For the price, there’s nothing to complain about.
