Had a confirmed reservation, while waiting in line 15 minutes, 3 other customers were offered head of line in front of us and complained about the room conditions and 3 others were offered head of line service and given rooms. Then I was told the hotel was overbooked and there was no room despite the fact the it was pre paid for through Orbitz and confirmed. In addition I had to demamd a receipt for refund as the front desk expected me to take their word that I would get a refund after selling my room to another customer. They didn’t even offer comp.

For such an ideal location this was pretty bad. Customer service can always makeup where a hotel lacks aesthetics and cleanliness but it doesn't seem to make a difference at this location. We arrived at check in at 6:18pm and the rooms were not ready with 5 ppl still waiting. Would not give an estimated time. Next to the front desk were bathrooms that had no soap but a sign that told workers to wash their hands. Came back at 7:40pm and still had to wait for a room. One person could not give an estimated time when rooms would be ready but then someone else came out and said 5 minutes. No apologies. When we finally got in our room it had not been swept and there was hair in the toilet and bathroom floor and tub. Beds were done but one sheet had black marks on it. There was a candy wrap on the floor by the bed. The hotel itself seems very old and is very dirty. Carpets on the hallway are stained. They've just thrown nice furniture in very old and dusty rooms that need renovating. Just a huge disappointment. The only good thing was breakfast. The kitchen worker seemed to be the only person willing to keep an area clean and inviting.

This place looks nothing like the photos. No security from the outside to the inside. Elevator/stairwell door hallway opens to the street with no key lock. Doors in stairwell hanging open. Literally nothing keeping someone who isn’t a guest from entering unnoticed into the building, hallway carpets stained, unvacuumed. Elevator took FOREVER, had splashed and dried paint inside, and the wood around the jamb of the elevator seemed rotted away. Room looks nice in first opening of door, floor was STICKY. Puddles of rust/leaky something at the base of each bed, refrigerator had a broken leg and was just sitting like it had been thrown into a cabinet, bathroom was gross and worn down, missing caulk. There was toothpaste ‘splash’ (like when you brush your teeth) all over the back of the bathroom door. Second floor smelled musty and like marijuana. Lamp fixtures had one that worked, one that didn’t, metal hardware holding it up has rusted and also leaked rust stains on counter. Woman checking us in was unimpressed with life generally just seemed annoyed. I saw the state of the room, then went to the front desk to immediately check out- had to find another room in another hotel. I discreetly shared my experience with the room at the desk, This time spoke to a very nice lady who assured me that she would refund me. It had only been a few hours, so I don’t expect to see that refund hit any accounts yet- but will be following up. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Not the cleanest hotel. Rust spots on floors, broken wall fixtures, defective tv, wifi did not work, non adjustable temperature in room, stains on celing. Would not book there again.

The beds are comfortable. This is my 1 positive foe the hotel. Hallway floors had dirty carpet in severe need to use a vaccum on them. Hallways smelled heavily of marijuana the entire stay. Breakfast was minimal. Inside the room. Popcorn celings were bubbling and pealing, laminatw floors needed good cleaning with mop. Plug ins were minimal. Lighting in room was minimal. Bathroom you can barely close door if you are in front of toilet it was so small. Cosmetically, chipped paint, appears not clean curtains had stains, light switch was broken.

When checking in (about 4:45PM), front desk person was not thrilled to be there and was on a personal call on her cell phone when I arrived. It took a couple of minutes for her to realize someone was waiting. She did not confirm the number of nights stayed (important later). She waited for me to hand her a credit card, without actually asking for the card, then got an attitude when I told her she didn't ask for it. Side note - AC in main part of hotel was either off or set to very warm. Got to the room where the floor was not clean, there was nothing covering the box springs on both beds, the room door stuck terribly, the phone was not connected, switch by room door was not connected to anything (which made the entry very dark), tub had hair and dirt all over it, no hair dryer in the room, and towels were stained and had hair on them. Breakfast was cold. There were quite a few people at 7:10 AM in line for breakfast. Items were running out, so I asked the staff to refresh the items. "Fresh" eggs were put into the serving dish. Turns out they were ice cold. Waste of time and money. Didn't bother the second morning. There was so much noise between 1 and 3 AM. I had to call the front desk (from my cell phone because the hotel phone wasn't working/connected) and ask for the room next door to turn their TV down and keep the noise down. Again, this is at 1:30 AM. When bringing all of these items up to the front desk, nothing was done.

When I arrived at the room, there were towels on the floor, one bed unmade, a water bottle open on the nightstand and a very strong smell of cigarette. The hotel and the rooms smell moldy and all my family had allergic reactions. This is a cheep hotel but expect a cheep room with lack of cleaning

This is not a place I would EVER stay at again. It was dirty, the Wi-Fi didn't work. Only one elevator worked, there was a huge cockroach in the hallway. They gave me used body wash. For the amount of money I paid... I've stayed in much nicer hotels for way less.

Awful experience

I am extremely frustrated by choosing to book this hotel. Upon arrival at 7 PM I and several others had to wait in the lobby for over 15 minutes for a staff member to arrive to check us in. I certainly would not have booked this hotel had I known I would have to wait 15 minutes to check into a room. I was also concerned for the individual safety given that she stated she was the only person working. She only showed up to check people in after I and another person started knocking on the office door and calling the phone. I am traveling with my autistic child and I am here for disability awareness day at the state capital. This hotel’s handicap accessible lyft is not working and now we cannot have a friend of ours come to the hotel room. This information should absolutely be emailed to guests so they can make the decision to book another hotel. I was supposed to have a meeting here with this individual and now I have to find another location. I have booked hotels with your app for a decade and have never had an experience that made me this unhappy. In addition to all of this, the hotel was generally very unclean.

The room itself was OK. The building is very old and has very few upgrades. They don't have a restaurant, the elevators are very old and take a long time to move from floors. The carpeting on the floors is smelly and some of the amenities in the room are old and lack appealing. We stayed only because the were no other options in the area for the State Cross Country Finals.

It was a horrible experience. The carpet looked like someone drove a motorcycle with muddy wheels across them. The phones didn’t work, internet was out, all rooms are conjoined, restaurant attached is closed down, tub was stopped up, toilet flushed like a rocket and scared the sh** out of me, horrible smell, online photos truly fooled us and it was an embarrassment to Tallahassee. In order to heat my food I had to go all the way down to the lobby to use a pawn shop microwave that I had to stand in line for 20 minutes at midnight to use, oh but, there is a refrigerator in the rooms and I just need a full refund for the stress of it all.

I have stayed at this hotel before, it has gone down hill fast. It is in disrepair and short staffed. They didn’t even have room keys for us on first night, check in person had to escort everyone to their rooms and let them in. Rear door that used to have key card access now left unlocked so anyone can just walk in, unsafe.

This was the worst experience I ever had at a hotel. It was disgusting. I felt unsafe, and there were no keys available for any other rooms. Some man let us in our room with the master key and we couldn’t leave again I tried to get a refund and keep getting the runaround. I took a shower in the morning before we left, and the shower leaked into the hallway and into the room.

Disgusting

Do not stay here if you want a clean place to stay. The hotel stinks and is filthy from the lobby to the elevators and the halls and then your room. Bathrooms were disgusting and I didn’t even want to walk around barefoot. The tv was on in the room when arriving and the remote didn’t work. Front desk didn’t even have batteries to replace for the sticky gross remote so you had to turn the tv and channel from a tiny button on the bottom of the tv. Do not stay here the pictures on the website are so deceptive.

I was a little disappointed in how old the hotel. It did seem to have some cosmetic upgrade attempts, but still underwhelming. My room was not serviced once during my entire 3 day visit.
