No hot water. Was promised a discount, but did not receive. In fact, the morning clerk was making a list of who asked for a discount instead of giving everyone. Still didn't get it anyway. Water had been out for at least 2 days. In room phone did not work (said half the room phones didn't work) so had to walk all the way to front desk to speak to staff. WiFi on unsecure network, unsafe to use. Didn't want to take risk. I would not recommend them to anyone.

NO HOT WATER

We DID NOT even check in; the property had no hot water, and had no clue or timeline when the hot water would be repaired. I will not be paying this bill and I absolutely assume Hotels.com will not fight me on this refund since we were i formed by hotel staff that Hotels.com HAD been informed of the issue previously (and of course we received no notice at all).

Do not stay here!!!!!

This hotel is the definition of "lipstick on a pig". Do not stay here!! Room floor was sticky. Towels had stains. Room divining door was paper thin... you could hear the people next door going to the bathroom. Carpet in the hall had debris all over. It was dirty and smelly! I repeat... do not stay here!

Misleading Star Rating:Unsanitary & Hidden Charges

My recent attempted stay at the Wyndham Garden Tallahassee proved to be a deeply disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. Upon entering the lobby, I immediately noticed red flags that should have warned me about what was to come. A distressed guest was at the front desk reporting missing expensive earbuds, and while the staff made gestures of concern, their demeanor seemed insincere at best. The first troubling sign was a distinct mold odor permeating the lobby area. Despite this initial concern, being tired and needing to stay near the hospital, I decided to proceed with check-in, hoping the room would be better. This proved to be a mistake. The moment I entered the room, it became clear that this property falls drastically short of acceptable standards. The same mold smell from the lobby was even stronger in the room. The conditions were shocking - the box spring appeared to have been salvaged from a dumpster, and the windows were so filthy they were practically opaque, blocking any natural light. Realizing it would be impossible to stay in these conditions, I immediately returned to the front desk to request cancellation and a refund. The staff informed me they could only refund the deposit and directed me to Hotels.com for the main reservation refund. Adding insult to injury, I later discovered an unexplained additional charge on my account. Perhaps the most egregious aspect of this experience is the hotel reviews were not consistent with reality.

Staff was really nice. My issue was that my AC Unit was broke in the room so I froze my ass off for the first two nights and ended up getting sick. when I mentioned it to staff, I realized that the AC Unit was supposed to be on and blowing hot air. Staff came in and replaced the unit which worked fine but I was already sick by then.
