Festival Time

Arrived on their busiest day of the year without meaning to, during an annual festival in Taos, yet they remained cool, calm, and friendly. I had a small problem that they worked on in the midst of the fray - until they were able to resolve the issue for me. I am so grateful.

Liked the quality and ambience of the bar and the music. Liked the historical courtyard. and the room. We were in room 114 and it needs some serious updating. Very comfortable beds and the internet worked okay. the water pressure was very low and took a very long time to get hot water for a shower. Don't have enough ice machines for the size of the property.

Glad it was one night!

Took 20 minutes just to find the room, person working outside finally directed me to the room. Up 2 flights of stairs. Room was old and outdated. Need to replace toilet, shower, tv and AC. Had to go up 2 steps to the bathroom like if I hadn’t already climbed enough just to get the room. Tub was slippery and dangerous had to put towel in tub when showering.

The staff at the Inn front desk were very helpful and friendly. The staff in the restaurant and cantina were friendly but do not count on eating there if there is an event on the property or if they just say a large number of people in a group. Overall really good stay!

We stay here every year and usually thoroughly enjoy our stay. This year the front desk staff was pretty friendly with the exception of one person who seemed to be there every day during the normal business hours. She was extremely unfriendly and not helpful at all with any of our questions and she seems bothered by our very existence. It was always extremely uncomfortable to ask for something as common as towels or extra pillows - she acted as if we were interrupting her to ask for help. We will unfortunately be looking for alternative accommodations next year.

Over priced check in staff was not inviting..the pool was dirty aslo the hot tub had to clean our selfs only one jet worked..the room stunk so bad i couldn't even sleep sofa bed was filty wouldn't even sit on woke up to silver fish the bathroom faucet leaking on bathe tub ..would not recommend hallway smelling like weed people on the second floor throwing out things to the parking lot to family so getto..

Beautiful views and gorgeous Inn. Wish I got to stay longer here. The attached bar and grill was fantastic and really enjoyed the bartender. Sirens were going off all night and while at a gas station down the road two men got into a fight. Learned that Taos is "technically" the most dangerous town in New Mexico so makes sense, lol. Would go back.

Be advised

Chose day of for a 1 nite stay. Looked ok in pics on app for a standard king. Got to room behind building up wooden stairs and was oldest outdated dark 1950s bad mojo vibe. Went back to desk asked nicely if there were any options. Front desk gave me a nicer modern room without any hassle. Suspect 3rd party apps like hotels.com get the worst rooms for the rate. Be advised.

Poor Management!

This is our second stay with Sagebrush. This hotel has such potential, but management has forgotten to care for it. The staff does their best to work with what they have and it shows from their frustration in all areas of not having good management.

Diamond in the rough - Great customer service.

I've stayed here a few times now, and it's clear that the new management is attempting to get this historic property back in order, which is not mean feat. It's clear it was neglected for some time. Personally I love the vibe of the rooms in the detached buildings. I have stayed in both at this point. If you look hard you will surely find some spots where a little more love is still needed, but ultimately I will choose a little bit of character over something bland every time. The staff were very friendly, and even helped me out with a late check out and with storing some items while I took care of some business in Taos - Big Thank you for that!! I'll be back for another stay next time I am through Taos.
