Beautiful hotel, perfect location, outstanding service! The front desk was kind enough to changed our assigned room to a lower level without any hesitation. We wanted to be able to take the grand staircase to the second level. I was thankful that it was possible. We were given room 231, it has an awesome view on the main street. This room had a small separate tv lounge, which can be convenient. The small couch was comfortable but a little funky smelling… There is also a tv where the bed is. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. We had issues with the toilet not flushing and the shower not draining, they sent maintenance up while we were out for walk. Everything was fixed by the time we returned. Perfect! The room was quiet, we didn’t hear anyone coming and going in the hallway. There is a nice restaurant on site, Café Nicole Bistro & Bar which is open for breakfast and dinner. There is also a very well stocked convenience market place by the reception area. Their coffee machine is wonderful and offers lots of options. It made an excellent Mocha! Parking is available at an additional cost right behind the hotel in a large parkade, the hotel guests park on the ground floor. There is security tending to the parkade which was nice to hear. Their hotel is perfectly located, we were able to park the car and not move it all weekend. The area felt safe late at night, specially that there were lots of people walking around. Great stay. Dropped a star as the first two nights the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The first night it was a novelty as we stood outside watching the fire trucks turn up. The second night it wasn’t so fun. That said, I’m working on the basis that it was exceptional circumstances. Everything else about our stay was excellent and we will certainly visit again.
