Welcome to NC's Blue Ridge Mountains! You have just found the closest and most unique Vacation Rental to Stone Mountain State Park!

Our cabin is located less than 1 mile to the entrance of Stone Mountain State Park where you will find magnificent Waterfalls, historic landmarks, hiking trails, mountain climbing and much, much more!

Imagine this...you're sitting on the front porch of a beautiful log cabin, enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air. Now...look out below and you will see a 70 mile panoramic view featuring every shade of the color green spread out over a wide forested valley and time softened mountains. White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky. (Continued below)


Now...look east and you will see Pilot Mountain ('Mt. Pilot' as it was referred to on the famous Andy Griffith TV show). And on a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in downtown Winston Salem, NC, over 50 miles away!

And at night...Wow...the twinkling night lights in the valley are breathtaking and soooo romantic!

Natural beauty of the magnitude is so inspiring and a true feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul.

It will be equally magnificent when Autumn leaves paint it red, copper, bronze and gold; when winter snow blankets it with a sparkling layer of sugar white, and when spring shoots, buds and flowers inundate it in a sea of lacy pastel foam.

Our Stone Mountain rental cabin is the perfect vacation spot for all seasons!

Cabin 1 has amazing views. It was breathtaking to soak in the hot tub and look out across the valley toward Pilot Mt. The cabin itself was rustically perfect for my husband, our golden retriever and myself. It provided everything we needed. Toiletries and linens were provided and very nice. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen table view was fabulous. We had perfect weather, which allowed us to take advantage of the cabin's outdoor space. Contact with the owner was always quick and friendly. The location was ideal for visiting Stone Mtn, Elkin, Sparta and New River State Park. It's not shiny and new, but it is perfect for what it is.

Beautiful and peaceful spot

This cabin is tucked away with beautiful and quiet views of the surrounding valley and extremely close to Stone Mtn Stare Park. The cabin itself is clean, everything works well, it just needs some updating and is a little musty. But it’s a rustic cabin in the woods! :)

Great mountain getaway!

We had a lot of fun staying at this Cabin. My girlfriend and I and our dog were in a road trip from Florida to Pennsylvania and we stopped in Traphill to hike Stone Mountain. Ed was a wonderful host and very responsive. The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything we needed and then some. The view is absolutely spectacular, particularly at sunrise! And the hot tub was also a very fun amenity that we enjoyed! Overall this is a great little cabin for a cozy stay whether you’re hiking or just enjoy peace and quiet and nature! Definitely recommend!

Breathtaking view

It was beautiful! Breathtaking view. Loved the hot tub! Internet was good and everything worked great. The microwave and toaster oven were upgraded since the pics so that was nice! The bed was a little small and not super comfy and we ran out of paper towels and hand soap (I brought some though so it wasn’t a big deal)But overall a wonderful stay! Really quaint and cute. Loved it!

Spectacular Sunrise!

This beautiful little cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. We celebrated my birthday by watching the best birthday sunrise of my life from the cozy front porch rockers. The weather was cold and windy so we didn’t use the hot tub or the fire pit, but they would be wonderful amenities in better weather. The indoor fireplace kept us warm and cozy. This cabin is in a peaceful, secluded area yet very close to SMSP. We hiked to the waterfalls and trout streams within the state park. Note that there are three cabins on this property with plenty of space between cabins. Parking is tight especially for large vehicles. It’s a 20-30 minute drive to major grocery stores and restaurants, so come prepared. There is a small general store close by. We did see a few stink bugs inside but also saw evidence that the owners are actively addressing the problem to the best of their ability. Overall, this is a wonderful little cozy cabin and we hope to come back again!

Great as always!

My wife and I come to this specific cabin every year! If you want a peaceful, fun getaway then I highly recommend. If you want luxury and high maintenance then this is not for you. Be prepared to enjoy a getaway outside of normal city living! Stone Mountain has amazing hiking trails and overlooks to make an awesome day and to return back to a great cabin with exceptional views while relaxing in the hot tub! Thanks again for a great stay!

Good for short trip

The cabin was tidy when we arrived, smaller than expected but ok. The cabin felt outdated but still functional. Area was great, very secluded with just the 3 cabins so nice and peaceful. The hot tub was the shining star of this property as well as the view. Make sure you read the entire listing as I was not aware the bed is only full size until we arrived. We wish the weather would have been better as there is not much to do in the area aside from the State Park. There was no direct communications with the hosts which was not any issue, when we arrived there were policy and instructional sheets in the cabin that gave us everything we needed. Overall would recommend, but would suggest to not have more than 2 people staying as cabin 1 was not too spacious. Thank you to the hosts for a nice weekend getaway!

Parking was a little tight

Everything was good - lots of little stink bugs u believe they’re called but based on location normal. Just vacuumed them all up. The parking was tight so if you got a big SUV / truck it can be a little tight.

Can't beat the view!!

We loved our Thanksgiving stay in this cabin. The view is incredible and we loved sitting out on the deck (though it was cold!). Short drive to Stone Mtn. state park which has great hiking/trails, waterfalls and of course, the mountain :) The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts were great - great communication, clear instructions on access, etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
