The view is absolutely stunning. However, the balcony railing (aluminum) did not feel sturdy/secure and I’m not sure spacing between uprights actually meets uniform building code. I was uneasy with young grandchildren on the balcony.

Breakfast is not great now. Used to be great. Had a suite and counted on the pullout being available, the mattress was broken and missing springs to hold the base on so you sunk into it and the mattress coils were popped out the sides. Not great. Otherwise clean.

I have stayed at the Grand Beach a few times now and have always loved my experience there. The front desk team is always so kind, and the rooms are very cute and always so clean! I will continue to stay there every time I visit Traverse City!

I love being on the bay in Traverse City. The hotel is always immaculate, the grounds are well maintained and staff at the front very helpful. My view out the slider was ruined by 2 dirty diapers laying on the ground. It looked like someone threw them off the balcony above me. It was very cold so housekeeping probably could not get them during cleaning the room.

I reserved a 2nd floor room and got a 1st floor room. I did not like the McDonald's style cold boxed breakfast. I took tbe water and left the rest. I didn't like having my food left at my door at a specific time. If I haf slept in, maybe it would be there, maybe not.

Great Stay

Check in was quick and efficient. Christian, the associate at the desk was courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean and warm. The view of the frozen Lake Michigan from our room was amazing. The pool and hot tub were both clean and well maintained. The preorder box breakfast was delivered to our room on time and was fine with options for fresh fruit, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, boiled eggs, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.
