Lackluster stay

We arrived late in the evening and there was no one at the front desk. We called out and knocked on the staff door several times. After 15 minutes, I decided to call the main # to cancel and look for another hotel but then the front desk person finally appeared. Then they told us our room had no power for the lights so none of the lights would be working. As I have 2 children to care for, that was not an option. The front desk person then called maintenance to inquire about another room with broken lights but discovered there were some working lights in the room. The A/C did work and the beds were fine to sleep in. We used out own blankets. The bedspreads had visible lip stick stains and the ceiling had dark stains on it. Overall, I did get a decent night's sleep and I appreciate the front desk inquiring about the extra room but I would not choose this hotel again.

Clean but cheap motel feeling

It's hard to call this place a hotel. Was it clean yes. Were the tenants friendly for the most part. Yes I said tenants. Although there is a red roof inn, there is a Hometowne Studios by Red roof (extended stay studios) on premises which they fail to mention anywhere. Think of it as a well kept cheap motel feeling. People sitting outside their rooms is pajamas and robes like it's their front porch. Smell of weed and cigarettes coming into the room bc the neighbor is outside their room smoking away. Were some neighbors nice? Yes. Did I get some uncomfortable side eyes? Also yes. It gives that "take your valuables in and out of the car and room with you" kind of feeling.I'm a female who traveled with 2 15y.o. girls and I felt like this was not the safest feeling option. The bathroom and room smelled like a musty cheap motel room. Had to crank the AC to circulate the stale air and get the stale cigarette smell out of the room. Once you get past all that there is a bright side... Although the comforter had some dirt marks on it by the foot on the bed, it was over all very clean. The outside premise, the lobby, the pool, the room, cleanliness was def their goal and they nailed it bc had it not been for the car that looked like someone was living in it or the neighbors hanging out like a porch party you would never had known this was an extended stay studio apartment rental place.

Never again Red Roof Inn

This stay was a real disappointment. A complete opposite of our recent stay at RedRoof Inn in Hershey, PA. which i gave 5 stars all the way down the list. This establishment is TERRIBLE. From the moment we checked in i reserved and paid for a double room suite and was given keys to a double bed motel room. It was only for 1 night and it was late so we didnt make an issue of it at the time. And the young lady at the front desk wqs very sweet and respectful, she was the nicest part of the entire establishment. Our room was behind the hotel around back facing and ajoining the section of residence units where people live there with dogs , cats and birds!!! No mention of that in the advertisement. Then we now enter the room. FILTH !!! The comforters has enormous dark stains on them, there were old trays of cat food left and missed by housekeeping on top of the closet rack shelf and IN the refrigerator. The bathroom looked like someone must have played wall ball in there and then was quickly patched with plaster and the patches never painted. Filthy crumbs and dirt across all the floors. Like it was never seen by housekeeping but, Oh and let me not forget, NO HOT WATER. Not hot water that was cold, No water at all when you turn the sink or shower water on HOT. No soap in the sink and shower disensors, why are they even there??? If i could give this place negative 5 stars i would. Red Roof Inn needs to copy their facility in Hershey, PA. This place is a 1 and done for me.
