DO NOT STAY HERE!

🚨DO NOT STAY HERE, ever!🚨 Days Inn by Wyndham Tyler Texas I just needed a room for one night in Texas. Hotels.com had this place looking great! I booked the room for $124.19 and was charged $50 at the front desk for a deposit upon arrival. I walked in and it was hot and smelled moist. I turned on the tv, the air and my mom called, so I spoke with her. I had to use the rest room and wash my hands and that’s when I noticed all the issues with the room. -The Bathroom ceiling has black smoke looking stains and the light on the right will not turn off. -The lamp shades had black spots on the inside of them -The comforter on the first bed had spots on it. - Everything that was silver was rusted -light switch covers broken -stains and paint patching and chips all over the wall With the moist room and all that rist, that black could be mold! Front desk told me there is nothing they can do because I booked through hotels.com. Hotels.com said there is nothing they can do because it’s up to the hotel and the hotel is saying I used the room. Hotels.com said they can’t do anything more and issued a $25 credit, which I used to book another room. These people are crooks and after reading the reviews on Google, which I should have before I booked, this is a very common thing. I can’t stand a thief so I will not let this go. What in the hell has happened to customer service?!?!?! Would you stay here?!?!? I included photos as well as my review and responses

The location was in a very nice place. The outside was very nice and clean. I like the benches they have outside when you enter to register. The room was very clean and large.

Dirty rooms / bathroom . Lights had shorts in them . The bathroom light switch sparks when you turn it on . Doesn’t work half the time . Paint chipping off over end table into the floor . They really need to shut this down and remodel . Electrical not safe for my kids at all . When I got the light working I just left it on so they didn’t have to worry about getting shocked . Very shocking and disappointing . The maid just walked in the room to clean at 930 in the morning telling my kids it’s time to go . Mind blowing !!!!

The best thing about this property was the customer service. Michelle and Mo plus the housekeeping staff are top-notch! We checked in late evening just as the tornado sirens were going off. Mo made sure the guests were safe. He went above and beyond taking care of our reservation. Upon checking out Michelle was very friendly. After leaving, 30 minutes later, Michelle called to say that the housekeeping staff had found a phone that was left behind in the room. Michelle and her housekeeping staff did not have to let us know that but they did. Again, above and beyond exceptional!

Towel racks in bathroom fell off when I touched it. I put on the booking it would be 2 adults, 3 kids, hotel provided towels for 2 people. Website advertises breakfast in the morning, all they had was bread. This was annoying because that was one of the main reasons I picked this hotel. Kept our deposit. Unsure as to why. The room and linens were not great to start with.
