The front desk person on checking was ok at the start of the transaction. It quickly went poorly and I had to keep interacting with her because the first room was not cleaned well, to the point of a dirty towel on the sink and no heat. The key locks are well worn and not easy to open.Beds are neat but older and noisy creaky in every movement.Interesting neighbours smoking a lot and others with large bottle collections out their doors. I tried and was not for me. The front desk person in the morning was freindly and professional.

Next time YWCA Vancouver
I'll definitely stay at the YWCA next time, it's a great downtown clean well managed hotel close to all the sites and sports venues. Plus the money they make goes to charity helping women in difficult circumstances .. a win win !!
Refused to return my deposit of 300 dollars we were there because of a medical appointment the next day it was a little icy so the icemelt truck came and did the parking then came again between 3and 4 am their hopper was clogged so at that time they we make a lot of noice right out side our door and due to the high stress of the health appointment my husband and i had an unrated argument.. the neighbor called the police because he heard a bang on the wall yeah my dog flipped over legs up which knocked over the food on the bedside table. Yes it was sweet and sour pork fine i get the charge for the sheet they said the rest was to compensate the other tenant for the disturbance.. the problem started with disturbance from the icemelt hopper banging and scrapping to unclog the hopper.. then having to deal with the police because the guy thought he heard a person get shoved into the wall that joins his.. there isnt room with the bed and night table for much else let alone two people.. and what if we were having an intimate moment jesus.. my husband had a heart stress test at 9 am sharp worst sleep as we barely got any.. but we were the disturbance not to mention the rooms dont have the proper insulation for sound barrier and the walls had patches and cracks running down them and pretty small everything
We stayed here before (our only option) and couldn’t get into our room right away because they were fumigating it for bed bugs. My husband had such a bad reaction to it and ended up in the ER. They charged me $145.00 for damages for a small spot on the sheets that was probably already there! Avoid this place at all costs. You’re better off sleeping on a bench
No amenities such as microwave or fridge. Did not even have bedding changed. Bed was awful, extremely uncomfortable with thin mattress and the springs are can be felt through the mattress!
As a child we stayed in a similar property, over the years the motels on Kingsway have vanished and well, i wanted to experience the little contained apartments again. Thank you!
