Beautiful property. Everything has gone smoothly with check in, relaxing in the pools and hot tub, and meals. We were fortunate to be seated with amazing views on the deck. Our meals were delicious. Our staff in the outside dining area and the bar area were friendly and efficient. We drove to this area from the east side of the state and booked this place through Expedia and we are beyond please with our stay.
Awesome stay. Very classy hotel. Was like walking back in time.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
There is no elevator for luggage transport to rooms. Thin walls, easily heard guests in the hallway and in adjacent rooms. Large in room ac unit is loud and drowns out sound from other guests.
We enjoyed a night over when we visited the FRank Lloyd Wright home, Falling Water, and loved it. When we arrived, we checked in quickly and immediately went to the pool for a swim. Great space!!! After swimming, we got dressed up and enjoyed dinner as the sun was setting on the veranda … so beautiful!!!! The food was good and the view was amazing!
This property is a historic gem built in 1907, but with modern amenities. The view from the outdoor pool overlooking the valley was worth the stay! The bar and veranda dining options were scrumptious and appreciated, as everything else within 5 miles seemed to be closed on a Monday/Tuesday. If you’re from Florida and missing the lightning bugs, they are everywhere on this property! Also, this proud 20 minutes away from white water rafting!
Historic, so obviously lots of old charm. There is a good balance between the old and newer upgrades. Beautiful outdoor pool and veranda area. Lobby and patios have great spaces to gather and play checkers, cards or board games.
This sweet hotel close to Falling water and other amenities . Our first room smelled moldy, I went to the desk and they moved us immediately, the hotel overall has great facilities,!pool and restaurant and bar everything onsite. It’s all a bit dated but charming and quaint. Seemed to be the best in the area.
My only other comment as far as the room is that the air conditioning was blowing directly on my side of the bed and there was no way to change the direction of vent and bathroom was big but nowhere to hang a towel or counter space/storage. Overall nice.
This is our second time at The Historic Summit Inn. Our stay this time was from July 2nd and leaving on July 4th. This was my birthday getaway. The place is Wonderful and the POOL, well that is fantastic. They had music on the porch on July 3rd and his voice was wonderful! We ate breakfast, lunch & dinner there and the food is delicious, hats off to the chef! We had a wonderful day the the pool, we went to Falling Waters on the 4th and ate breakfast that morning at Bittersweet and WoW is that place fantastic, the coffee is delicious and try the burrito breakfast wrap. I had a chocolate too for breakfast to celebrate me and so delicious.
The sunset on the deck is perfect and so is The Historic Summit Inn. I would recommend to everyone.
This is a beautiful and unique historic hotel, it felt charming and inviting while maintaining the historic vibe without feeling overdone or outdated. The room was very spacious, clean and cozy with a lovely Mountain View. My daughter and I both enjoyed an awesome sunset on the deck and a swim in the resort pool overlooking the mountains. I will definitely be coming back! And yes this is a HISTORIC hotel; I've read some reviews that stated that as a negative or deserving of a bad review. If you are not looking for this type of vibe, this may not be your place.
Lovely historic property with great dining and views. No elevators- so be prepared for lots and lots of steps. Wish the rooms had a fridge and microwave. Everything was neat and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
