3 bedroom 3.5 bath spacious private home in a gated golf course community. 20 minutes to Pinehurst and Southern Pines. 15min from the back gate of Fort Liberty.
Huge kitchen, seating for 8 in the dining room. 2 fire places. Large yard with pool. Master suite includes king-size Tempur-Pedic bed, and bath with Jacuzzi tub. 2nd & 3rd bedrooms downstairs each have their own bathroom. Outside, you can enjoy a large backyard with grill, hot tub and pool.
Entire home will be yours to enjoy, upstairs and down, inside and out. Owners will be off-site during your stay, but assistance is just a phone call away!

The owner was usually quick about answering questions and check in was smooth & easy which was nice but the house was FILTHY. It almost appeared as if it had been abandoned for months as there were cobwebs in every corner, dead bugs everywhere, dog hair covered floors, mold in one of the bathrooms, dried on smelly food in the kitchen garbage, and nothing had been dusted in some time. The windows, floorboards and all fixtures were gross with dust, built up grime and more cobwebs. It was by far the dirtiest home I’ve stayed in. When I addressed this with the owner, she informed me that we should have told her during our stay and she would’ve had a cleaning crew come in. The last thing I want do when I’m on vacation is have to deal with a cleaning crew when they obviously weren’t even doing their job to begin with. It should have cleaned BEFORE our arrival, not during our stay. I even sent her 20 photographs of the fifth AND the dilapidated stairs leading to the pool (railing was coming apart and VERY UNSAFE) and she basically ghosted me. Also, the pool was full of pine cones, pine needles and pollen. It really should have a cover on it since there are so many trees around. The house was a total disappointment other than the pool table. It is too bad that they have let the place get so run down because it really is a neat home in a beautiful neighborhood. Photos of this “supposedly clean” home attached for reference.

Check in was good. The home is large and inviting. Not much attention to detail regarding cleaning but clean enough where it counted most. Kitchen facilities are spacious and comfortable.The dishes, silverware, etc. in the cupboards and drawers had grease/food on them. Seemed like possibly rinsed, maybe put in the dishwasher and either it didn't run, there was no soap or both and they were put away. Had to run the dishwasher twice to wash glasses, dishes, silverware etc. before we could use them. Also an area of the dining room ceiling became warped and the plaster hung down in about a 6x6 area. We did notify the manager so they'd be aware. The one area that needs attention badly is the screened in basement porch. Truly it is disgusting. It rained quite a bit adding to the disgust of the filthy, mold ridden, torn carpeting, numerous moldy toys, trash, other objects, plastic bags, moldy cushions on the wet floor, old used paper towels, underwear, etc. laying around. There also were no decent tables or chairs outside. After putting all the "junk" in a corner, we took the table and chairs from inside the porch, out, washed them and the chairs, as sitting inside the porch obviously was not an option. The hot tub was nice. Only 2 of four jets functioned just FYI. Not an issue for us.The pool was nice. For the most part we feel it is a decent rental that in our opinion, with a little extra attention, could make it a lot nicer.

Spent a few nights in a wonderful home, but unfortunately was not exactly as advertised. We were expecting pool, hot tub, patio grill as per the listing…. Only the hot tub was as advertised. There was no grill at all. We bought groceries expecting a grill….then had to quickly figure out something else for dinner as none was available. We contacted hosts and they did remedy the grill by the 2nd day… Pool completely not usable. Very dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in some time, we were disappointed that ad indicated pool was available for our rental, yet not at all ready for us. If owners do not maintain pool during winter months, it should clearly be stated in ad and not listed as available.

Vass Property

This property is in a beautiful wooded location. It is very private. It is set up well for a family gathering. It has a large kitchen and several eating areas. The bedrooms are separated on opposite sides of the house to provide privacy. There are bathrooms for each bedroom. There are two living areas which gives guests a chance to spread out. This layout was wonderful for a family gathering.

Successful Thanksgiving Visit

My family was visiting our son who is stationed at Ft Bragg (Liberty) over Thanksgiving. Successfully prepared and hosted dinner! Our family enjoyed the learning about the history of the house and the plans for the dam repair. The house was comfortable with plenty of rooms and we were fascinated by some of the older books in the large collection. We also brought our dogs with us which was nice! One of the previous reviews mentioned a fenced backyard- just wanted to clarify that it does not have one (not an issue for the listing just wanted to prepare others that might bring their dogs). We have a portable electric fence/collar system so it wasn’t a problem. The owner was helpful and quick to respond to a few questions that I had. Beautiful sunsets every night from the back deck. Overall a great stay…will be perfect when the dam repair is complete!

Birthday weekend!

The pool was perfect and a beautiful spot to watch the sunsets. The pool table was definitely an added bonus. The house offered plenty of space. Easy drive to Pinehurst and many other golf courses. It was a great getaway from MI to have a family visit with our son who lives in Greensboro.
