Hotel in itself is a little outdated compared to others but suits are spacious and very comfortable. Complementary breakfast was pretty good with of course child's favorite big waffles maker. Overall everyone was very attentive and courteous, just one of the ladies on the breakfast area looked annoyed all the time. But it was a great experience for my family staying there!! Hotel is surrounded by places to eat and close to the highway exit which was a plus!

The hotel itself was nice. The breakfast area was small but the staff in the breakfast area was hard working and very nice. She also had to accommodate a junior high boys basketball team that converged on a very small eating area and soaked up all of the space with their entourage. It was unfortunate for the rest of us who were staying there. The remaining staff gave a negative vibe especially during check-in when the amenities that were supposed to be offered (promised on our hotels.com listing) were not and I was told they were not available. I even asked about the cookies that Country Inn and Suites are known for and was told “yeah we don’t have any and probably won’t during your stay.” (We had a reservation for a 5 night stay). They also resurfaced the parking lot during our stay without telling the guests that it was happening or doing anything to make that process easier. We left for the beach one day and when we came back everything was roped off and we had to find parking behind the hotel where there was no marked entrance so we had to lug our gear to find one. While there was no notification (not even a sign at breakfast that morning) they did call me to ask if I was driving a Mazda because I would have to come back and move it — clearly if I wasn’t at the hotel — it wasn’t my vehicle. Even that communication was curt and more about dealing with an issue for them not for me. The rates here were great (that’s why we stayed).

The first night we were there someone left a paper under the door saying we would have to park at the neighboring hotel due to some construction. There was a dog that barked 2 nights straight on the 3rd night they moved us. I wanted to check out a day early Stephanie the girl that was at the front desk said I would be able to check out early and get the last night refunded. The next morning I went and asked the lady at the front desk about it and she said I wasn’t able to get my money back. So I still checked out and I left the keys in the bowl as requested. I called about 10am to let someone know I had already left and wanted to check out a day early. She acknowledged but didn’t ask what the reason was. Someone from the hotel continued to call my phone multiple times asking if I had a car there and if I did could I move it. The ladies at the front desk were rude and unprofessional they wouldn’t take accountability for what was going on. The room smelled like a wet dog and I felt like we were staying at the dog pound.
