The hotel is ideally located for walking and nearby attractions. The staff was generally polite and helpful, although the valet provided the service that stood out. The room was clean, and the view was lovely. However, I do feel the furniture and television could use some updating. The TV was relatively small and was about 20 years old, and I say this honestly because I had the same TV about 20 years ago. The armour and bed frames were quite out old as well. A mounted TV and new bed frames would be a nice upgrade. The mattress was comfortable, and I woke up with no pain. The athletic club was adequate. Overall, I think the location is the best part of the stay. For the price, though, I am not sure I’d stay again.

The staff were really welcoming and kind always smiling. But there were a couple of things that bothered me. First, the noise was awful. I could hear constant banging from the ceiling, like someone was stomping around upstairs. The second issue was with the restaurant on the ground floor. We went there on a Saturday night, and even though it wasn’t busy, the host said we couldn’t get a table because we didn’t have a reservation. After a while, he gave us a table but didn’t seem happy about it. We ordered our food, but after finishing our starters, we had to wait almost half an hour for the main dishes. It was really frustrating, and my kids kept asking to leave. When the food finally came, we just ate quickly and went back to our room. Except those two things, we liked to stay at this hotel!

What a treat! We arrived on the Clipper V and the hotel was immediately across the street when we disembarked! The staff was also able to get us a room EARLY (I’m sure luck also played a part) and our room smelled freshly renovated! Staff was top notch which was the cherry on top! We originally picked this location based on their gym options but it was the whole experience that made it so memorable!
