The hotel staff Earlynn and Neil were very nice!! Kohala pool was a favorite for the children, but the limited food menu was not. We packed up to go to the Kona pool only to find the same problem - pizza, wraps and salad only; not to mention no staffing for the pool area to order from. The only other option was to walk to the Lagoon restaurant, which was very busy given the only place with more menu options for children. That was an inconvenience and a disappointment. Had we known, we would have brought our meals in from an outside merchant/restaurant.

It was absolutely beautiful. The biggest challenge was how far the ocean tower was to the restaurants and main lobby. The pool and facilities were gorgeous.

Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The balcony was a perfect spot for people watching and seeing the sunset. Swimming pools were fun. Out of order ice machine, difficult to locate water bottle filling station, and slow WiFi were my only complaints.

Resort is beautiful and has so many great amenities to enjoy. The downside is the location of the parking lot. You either have to walk a pioneer’s journey to your car, or take the slowest tram known to mankind that is barely faster than walking.

Check in was at 4, room was not ready until 6. Long lines of people checking in. By the time we got into our room, changed and to the pools the slides were closed. We only stayed 1 night and had an early flight to catch. Conditioner and lotion bottles were empty. I have stayed here so many times and it was great. Will not be staying here again. Highly disappointed

The property and the lagoon are amazing, the rooms are dated but worth putting up with for the amazing views and the overall grounds. Fridge and beds are from 1980s, sleeping on the fold out couch is like sleeping on rocks. Check in process is slow and stuck in 1985. The process could use some speeding up is an understatement more like a complete overhaul. Food at restaurants are at extortion prices. Self parking for $48 a day is down right robbery. Monorail runs at the speed of a snail it's better to walk.

Our experience at Hilton Waikoloa was really disappointing. The staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and at times made us feel like we weren’t welcome. It honestly felt like we were being treated differently, and it left a bad impression. The tram system was a joke — only one out of three was working, and we waited forever just to get around the property. Otherwise, be prepared to walk 15-20 minutes just to get from one area to another. Everything on property is severely overpriced — nearly double what’s quoted on sites like Expedia once you’re there. When we asked questions or tried to get help from the staff, we were brushed off and told the resort was completely sold out, as if that excused the poor service. We expected more from a resort at this price point. Would not recommend and won’t be returning.

What an amazing place!!! I was a little nervous about the comments regarding long walk to your room but after arrival the view on the small walk is mind blowing. I saw so much wildlife and was so lucky to get a ground floor unit that opened up to the golf course and ocean. Just an outstanding room and outstanding property. Will definitely stay again. The place is so big it’s never crowed. Each morning during my ocean walk I could go 10 minutes and not see another guest.

This is a beautiful property and lots to do for all ages. Ocean tower rooms are beautifully remodeled. Sadly, they won’t give you room keys on check in until you talk to a timeshare salesperson. I find it incredibly rude to hold keys hostage when I’ve already paid for the room. The last thing I want to do on arrival is be hit up for timeshare purchase presentation. Maybe they went to capitalize on you being tired from travel? Other than that service is great, grounds are exceptional, on site food is good to excellent. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Please reconsider the key hold situation. That ruins an otherwise great place!!

I found the staff to be very nice and helpful, especially Kimara, who greeted me multiple times. She was awesome and always made me feel very welcome and glad I made the choice to stay here! This is a large Hilton complex with the Ocean Tower being a long way from the main lobby. Once you get your bearings it turns out to be about a 12 minute walk between the two. There is a tram to take you around, but if your luck is like mine, just as you walk up to the loading platform the tram is just taking off. This is the first time I got to stay in one of the rooms that has been converted to a time share. Even though I didn’t use most of them having a microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer can be handy. But there are some features that seem totally senseless to me. Like having a toilet that has a lid that opens and water sprays automatically with light or motion in the bathroom, regardless if you have any intention of using it. Or a bathroom without an exhaust fan that has a shower with a large glass door that opens outwards so all the water on the door falls onto the floor.

Parking is to expensive. With paying so much for the rooms, and resort fee parking should be free.
