Clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable room, polite staff, and good breakfast provided. The kitchenette had adequate plates, cups, and utensils. Our room was listed as handicapped but other than the door access button and bar in the tub, it didn’t appear to be handicapped accessible. We did not use the heated pool. The lodge was a short, easy walk to area businesses. The comfortable lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

The staff is lovely and the Lodge is definitely a little dated but the service and location are excellent. We didn’t have hot water for our shower but that’s really the only thing I can comment on. All in all a wonderful stay with great service and friendly staff.

Staff were mostly friendly except for the elderly woman at the desk. She never really greeted us or said anything to us whenever we were in the lobby. Breakfast was so so. Room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of parking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the kitchen staff who prepared breakfast every morning. They were the BEST at keeping it clean and stocked from beginning to end. The hot breakfast was a great start to each day. The lounging area and fireplace are cozy and comfortable. We used the pool and jacuzzi also which were clean and well-maintained. It is the cleanest jacuzzi we've ever experienced and it didn't smell of chemicals. They empty and clean it often. Incredible! The rooms were also kept clean and yet we never saw the housekeeping staff do it. We called them our Room Fairies and they did a wonderful job. The location is perfect. We ate at the Penn Wells Hotel and highly recommend it! The food quality was excellent and surprisingly reasonably-priced and the historic atmosphere is an experience I'm glad we didn't miss. We can't wait to return!

One of best lodge experiences ever. Huge room with two sinks, four chairs, private patio. Great shower and decent towels. Simple parking right outside the front door. Lots of restaurants and neat shops within a few blocks. Swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi which is also available to community for a fee. Microwave down the hall to reheat leftovers that you couldn’t finish during last night’s dinner. The tissues weren’t the softness we prefer, but, hey, with so many amenities, who’s complaining? I’ll recommend to friends and hope to return one day. Decent variety for breakfast included.

Our room was very quiet. The pool is large clean .and heated. The breakfast was good. Wellsboro is a beautiful little town that has shopping and lots of dining options and they are very walkable from the hotel. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. Great stay!
