Bathroom shower was a bit dirty, rugs on floors felt damp. Host at check in was indifferent and had trouble communicating clearly. Our room was not ready at check in. Bathroom was not available for my kids or me to use while waiting. No towels available at indoor pool. Since we couldn't get into our room, there were no towels for kids to dry off.

What a horrible experience

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My stay at Cape Sands in Cape Cod was a complete disappointment. After driving several hours with high hopes for a relaxing weekend, I was instead met with subpar accommodations and management that clearly didn’t value guest experience. The room was outdated, poorly maintained, and not as advertised. There was a musty smell upon entering, and basic amenities were either broken or missing. Cleanliness was questionable at best. I’ve stayed at many budget-friendly places over the years, but this felt more like a neglected roadside stop than a beachside motel. The staff was inattentive and dismissive when I voiced my concerns. There was no effort to make things right or offer any kind of compensation. It honestly felt like once they had my payment, they couldn’t care less about the quality of my stay. Cape Cod is beautiful, but do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This place is not worth your money, time, or frustration.

Needed a little updating (painting, minor repairs). Was a little bit damp but easily fixed with a dehumidifier. Beds, internet and location were all positive. The staff and their customer service skills were impeccable. Would most definitely stay again.

Our check out at was at 11:00 am. At 11:05 we were still in our room and about to leave. The house keeping women was pounding on our door and I told her we were just about to leave. So she proceeds to open the door which is extremely rude. I was staying there with my little sister who is a child. What if we were changing? I understand it was after 11 but it was only 5 minutes. I know she needs to clean but she can’t be opening doors like that. The bathroom was dirty upon entering the room. The shower floor was covered in dirt and so was the back of the door to enter our room. When I work up around 9:30 am there was a man screaming at the top of his lungs outside swearing. I will never stay here again.

The staff at the front desk were not helpful at all. It took so long to check in. The property is rundown. The rugs in the rooms are old and gross. There were huge holes in the bottom of the walls large enough for a small animal to get in. I would never stay at this place again. Especially not for what we paid.

Disappointing visit.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent stay. Unlike our first visit—which was lovely—this experience fell far short. There was no screen on the slider, so we couldn’t enjoy the outside deck. Worse, staff members were jumping on top of the dumpster to compress the trash—right next to our room. It was loud, unsanitary, and completely disrupted any sense of relaxation. The slider was also left unlocked by staff, which felt like a serious safety concern. The furniture on our patio was rusty and uninviting. We had expected another pleasant stay, but this time was nothing short of frustrating.

Stayed with family during the weekend. Great location, clean room and nice pool. I just wish that someone told us about the dehumidifier in the rooms. It was very humid the first night and could’ve used it. Otherwise Cape Sands Inn is a great motel without the bells & whistle at a great affordable price!
