Great staff, very clean

The service was excellent. Both front desk staff we interacted with were incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel and our room were very clean. It is an older hotel, so the shower area could use some upgrading, but while old, it was clean and that’s what was most important to us. The breakfast offered was great, lots of choices. We would stay again.

I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff was wonderful. She gave us great tips for dinner, local events and area suggestions . The breakfast was good. The room was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. The overall location of the hotel was close to Colonial Williamsburg and modern conveniences.

The room? Comfortable! The breakfast? Hot and it ran late enough that you could actually (get this) sleep in! The real highlight though was the staff. Everyone, especially Judie seemed like they wanted to make sure every aspect of our trip was a success. If I ever return to Williamsburg and I am really sure I will, I will be retuning to this location.

Attentive Staff, Very Clean

We stayed for two nights. Check-in was efficient and easy. We were struck by how clean the hotel is, both in the public areas and in the rooms. We constantly saw staff wiping, mopping, and generally making a fuss over keeping the hotel looking nice. The breakfast was good - typical fare - but the person who was servicing the breakfast room was friendly and gave ample warning when she was going to start taking things down (We tend to go to breakfast close to closing time). A big shout-out to Andre, who was the duty manager for the afternoons and evenings while we were there. We had a minor issue with our room, and Andre went above and beyond to make sure that everything was set right. He showed great concern about how even minor issues would reflect on guests' impression of the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay and won't hesitate to book again.

Mr. Andre Hill met us at check in and was most pleasant and helpful. Always offered assistance if we needed. Most of the staff was outstanding, especially the Korean breakfast room lady, the housekeeping staff may have misunderstood us but our room was not clean, nor the beds made through our 3-night stay. The hotel does looked dated, need some updates; the carpet looked quite dirty. We also find breakfast much too limited, which surprises us. This is not a $69 or even $89 stay. Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Sleep Inn Historic in Williamsburg.

Overall, the hotel was nice. Staff are very friendly and check in was good. The indoor pool was clean. The room was smallish and had some minor condition issues (sink cracked, bathroom door squeaky and wobly--and was a pull-shut more than a real door.) Breakfast was good and plentiful. Rate was more or less the same as some higher-up brands, but for folks with kids, the pool made it worthwhile.
