It was a much needed stay for us. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities needed.

Arrived at the property, and the hostess/desk clerk was very nice. Slightly hard to find our room and had to pass by the room next door’s 2 barking dogs. Found the room. Very nice, clean and nice view of ocean with picnic table on shared patio( with the dogs). Almost immediately we were told by our neighbor’s with the dogs that there was a Tsunami alert for the area(low and close to the beach), and they had decided to leave. .. The desk clerk had failed to mention this. I returned to the desk, and she did verify that there was an alert on, and showed me an escape route map if the evacuation sirens came on. Hmmmm. Rather than stay up all night to wait for the sirens we decided to leave. The next day I called Expedia to ask for a refund. They called the motel and the person they spoke with (a man) said there would be no refund and hung up on the Expedia representative. I really feel this was not a very good way to handle the situation- there were plenty of vacancies, and we did not use any of the rooms facilities. Not like they turned others away! They could have at least offered to give us a credit for another date. The place was cute and clean and appeared comfortable, and has a wonderful location right on the beach -really perfect if no Tsunami threat. We will of course not be returning because of the poor customer service attitude.

We love staying here, it is a quiet oceanfront spot on the coast of Oregon away from the bustle and crowds. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are always clean. At the back of the property are benches to sit on to enjoy the coastal view, or you can take the stairs down so you can walk along a beautiful, quiet beach. Cell coverage, in general, is not great along the coast, but they have great WiFi so you can stay in touch or look things up. The beds are very comfortable and we slept great. We do bring our own pillows because we are generally picky about those no matter where we are. We love eating at the Hilltop Cafe in Waldport when we come here. It’s close and really good food! Yachats and Newport are not far off you want more options. You can’t go wrong staying here, it’s a cute, clean, quiet oceanfront spot to enjoy.

We stayed for only one night on our journey up the Coast. Tillicum was the sweetest property with a front desk attendant who was just as sweet. The property has an old school charm with a cute cottage-like feel. They invite you to borrow DVDs from the lobby! It took me right back to my childhood. Beach access was easy. Everything worked and was comfortable. We would stay again.

A great place to stay. Quiet, private and the staff is very nice. Rooms were clean and well equipped with amenities. We loved that each room had an outdoor area to sit with the ocean just steps away from the property. We will certainly return.

This was advertised as a beachfront property, but our room had the view of a car with a flat tire, NOT the beach. The bathroom sink had no room for toiletries. The rest of the room was spacious and well appointed with plenty of outlets and comfortable bed. Good shower and towels. Only a donut and coffee for breakfast.

Loved our overnight stay! We are locals but were meeting friends from Idaho and decided to stay over. Very clean rooms, very friendly staff - if you are used to “5 star fancy” you might be disappointed but trust me, this place is great! The back area to the beach is awesome and I particularly loved the bathroom we had in Room 2. Not ultra modern but quirkily vintage which was a plus. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
