Compare Winery Hotels in Appalachian Mountains

It was my first time booking a room there, so when I arrived, I chose to self-park my vehicle and walk to the hotel, which is connected to the casino. After parking and grabbing my luggage, I headed toward the elevator. A kind young woman let me know that luggage isn’t allowed on that elevator to the main floor since it goes directly to the casino, not the hotel. So I decided taking the stairs, which led me outside on the opposite side of the building. From there, I walked back up the parking ramp to my car, drove around to the front, and used valet instead. I generally avoid valet due to past damage to my vehicle, so that was frustrating. The hotel itself was fantastic, but it would really benefit from having a dedicated elevator or stair access specifically for hotel guests.

The resort was amazing overall, just a little pricey.

Room was run down/old. Shower head was coming out of the wall and couldnt get the water hot. The phone in the room was making a loud buzzing noise so I just disconnected the cord. Rest of venue and area was super.l, staff was friendly. Room was clean. Easy access.to a late.checkout that was needed.

Everything was wonderful as always

The staff was very attentive and generally nice. At check in it was a bit rush. The night staff was excellent and had to deal with a few complaints from guests, but stayed upbeat and as one would expect. The pool area, for which we came for, because the kids wanted to enjoy the slides, unfortunately closed outside a bit early (slides), but that was understandable due to it getting dark and cooler - safety reasons. However, the indoor slides closed at 9:15pm despite the pool being open until 11pm. That was a huge disappointment given the main attraction being the slides. The money we spend was not worth the service we received and after kindly inquiring, we barely got a “Sorry”. We can’t recommence this resort, but certainly hope others have a much more pleasant experience.
