I love the fact that Gracery Hotel is located at the centre of Teramachi mall. It gives you access to the best shops nearby and it is close to Kamo-gawa!

This is the perfect location for a good price in Kyoto. It seems to be a recent construction, as the materials and finishes look modern and new. We were not looking for extensive amenities such as gym, shops, etc. We stayed for 7 nights in order to carry out daily trips from Kyoto while still enjoying the city during late afternoons. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of traditional and non-traditional foods served from 6:30am, which was a plus to start early our days. The rooms extremely quiet, clean, and the rooms big for Japan standards. The bathroom was even larger than expected. The shower is a separate room with an integrated tub which was a good surprise. The 7-eleven connected to the hotel is super convenient for late snacking. So we were extremely satisfied as it is so close that made everything so convenient. Highly recommend if this is what you are looking for!

Good overall if u want a Japanese experience

Had an excellent stay at Cross Hotel Kyoto—easily a 5-star experience. The location is hard to beat, right near Kawaramachi and within walking distance to Gion, Nishiki Market, and tons of great খাব and shopping spots. It made exploring Kyoto incredibly convenient. The rooms were modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious for Japan. The bed was super comfortable, and the little details—like the high-quality toiletries and thoughtful layout—made a big difference after long days of walking around the city. Service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with directions, recommendations, or anything we needed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. The hotel itself has a stylish, relaxed vibe, and everything felt well-maintained and high-end without being over-the-top. Overall, Cross Hotel Kyoto is a perfect mix of comfort, location, and service. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

in true Japanese character, the hotel was in perfect form from both the staff engagement to the facilities. This is not even taking consideration of the location being significantly convenient being above the train station which in itself for Western standards is well above our expectations.
