Likes: The staff was amazing -courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, informative and fun. The desk staff and especially the restaurant. The food was good to very good as well. Dislikes: Tired and outdated rooms. Our suite was so uncomfortable and cramped. Bed took up entire tiny bedroom but no closets or dressers and NO place to put suitcases - no stands. Suitcases and clothes were scattered around the living area. Bathroom crampy as well. Looks like no remodeling in decades. We made the mistake of getting a suite with a kitchenette we didn't use. WiFi was terrible to non-existent, weak signal at best to dropping out every few minutes. When we complained to staff, they concurred and said their complaints went unanswered. It looks like management has put no money into upkeep or modernization in decades. Location is bad as well, a pain to get into the town you can't park in. I would never stay there again, especially with so many other great places in town.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but truly feel it is necessary for such terrible quality for what we paid. I’ll start with the good 1) Good Location 2) Easy Parking The bad… 1) The smell of our room was horrible - it smelt like something had been left rotting for months and was removed right before we checked in. The smell didn’t go away. 2) Completely run down - they clearly put in 0 effort on upkeep. We paid $400/night and it was dirty Motel 6 quality at best. Walls were completely bare and stained from where pictures used to hang. Holes or random nails in walls all over with no attempt to repair/cover up. Kind of bizarre to see. 3) Poor service. Staff were annoyed at very basic requests and clearly did not care if guests had poor experience. Just all around shocked how much they charge for what they offer. If it were a cheap lodging option I would understand & accept the conditions, but it’s not cheap!! Stay here if you want to be depressed on vacation because it was very sad & depressing. Also nothing like the pictures they show.

We liked our stay at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort because the unit itself was lovely and had good kitchen facilities. It was just out of town so was away from the congestion of the many visiting tourists (us included!) and we could come back and relax at the end of the day and then pop back in for dinner.

Well located resort at the entrance of Banff. Walkable to downtown, well furnished, but the big issue was the wifi power : you had to be next to the router , i.e close to the door to get some internet signal.

We stayed as a family with kids for two nights, and this place was a highlight of our trip! We had a two bedroom unit located on the edge of the property. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook and make ourselves at home. We saw elk grazing right outside our building in the mornings. The office lends out sporting equipment to play on the enclosed courts, which was awesome for our kids. The resort offers regular shuttle rides to downtown Banff (about 3.5km away). We would love to stay here again!
