Bar staff were awesome. Rooms very comfortable. Food was excellent. No hot water last morning we were there only negative. Of course it was fixed like 10min later though
Excellent service at check in. Room was clean and tidy. At dinner Restaurant staff were very critical of hotel management and some dining room facilities. At breakfast next morning staff waited on us accessing dining room before advising that there was no hot food available.
We stayed at the Rydges for the weekend, and found it to be a great hotel, with modern facilities and large rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet and dark. Perfect for that sleep in. About the only downside is the location. It is a bit of a drive from the centre of town and doesn’t have any restaurants or pubs near by. It is a $15 taxi ride from the heart of Kalgoorlie to the Rydges, so not too bad. The staff were very friendly and efficient, although the reception was unmanned at 10am which is check-out time. There is a mobile number posted on the desk though. All in all it is a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is in a quiet residential part of the town. My room was clean, comfortable, with a good shower and efficient aircon. Plenty of parking. Good outdoor pool. The safe in the room was tiny, not even big enough for a tablet. Please note - this hotel has poor security - my room key card was disabled before the 10am check-out time on 1 Feb 2025, and I could not get back into my room when loading the car - I went to reception and the woman there just enabled a key card for the room number that I gave her, without first checking my identity. When I explained that she really ought to check first, she just said "sorry" - I could not get her to understand how it could be a problem. When I pressed her to ask me my name to verify my identity, she just read her screen and said "are you ?"!!! So if you are thinking of staying here, bear in mind that reception might give anyone who asks a key card to your room without checking their identity first, and may even give out your identity. Hotel management really needs to do some staff training. I would not stay here again.
The pool was shutdown spa. No contact was made to inform us. The pool was the only reason we booked the garden poolview room. The staff had no idea when it would be fixed. Days. Pool maintenance has to come from perth? Its a heatwave and what do you do? Sit in s room looking at a pool you came touse
Really nice stay at the Rydges, rooms were great, high standard, comfy bed, nice bathroom, staff great, although we never got the chance to use it the pool looked really nice, easy parking
Stunning Lodge, clean comfortable and great facilities. Friendly staff. Dining restaurant has excellent and delicious food. The restaurant manager Carrie makes you feel really welcome.
Would highly recommend especially to families.
Close to the Kalgoorlie super pit and the Hannah’s North Tourist Mine is a must visit and the original Two up shed is a short drive away.
