The Lodge was a great place to meet fellow travellers of all ages and nationalities.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Laundry facilities most welcome at this stage of my trip.
Seems to be used as long term accommodation for a lot of working backpackers, so much expect clutter in the dorm rooms such that you can barely get to your bunk. Bathrooms aren't cleaned daily, mold in sinks and shower persistent for 3 day stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful but unfortunately entire property needs a thorough clean and many repairs.

Property a little dated and could do with a refresh. Aircon and fan quite dirty. Hard to find space in frig. Brekky supplies were great. Staff were awesome, friendly, explained amenities well
The staff were pleasant and well-mannered and came from a variety of countries! The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. However, amenities were basic and perhaps the bathroom could've been updated. Food prices were a wee bit high, as were alcoholic beverages.
Bed was comfortable, good aircon, kind friendly helpful reception, vibe, basic breakfast included, just 5min walk from bus station. One male toilet was broken down and should be fixed.
Although I had personal challenges the staff were accommodating and friendly and overall stay was enjoyable. I had some concerns as an 87 year old in a YHA establishment but had no problems mixing with the younger ones.
All our needs satisfied for an interim stay st great rate. Booking process, confirmation and updates excellent. We never usually stay in a YHA style, but overall attractive c/w bar, light brekky, pool and nice adventurous fellow guests. Location was great and an easy walk from airport.

Disappointing, unless you’re 21
Party hostel - VERY young clientele. Not your typical YHA experience & they should probably just drop the brand. Heavy substance use among guests (even in the common areas) and plenty of off-colour, profanity-laden conversations. When I saw the check in girl chugging from a bottle of the hard stuff while on the job, I learned everything I needed to know about this place. Everything is a joke to them. But at least it’s cheap, if not family friendly.
