Water slide challenge

Nice place for a stop. Grandkids liked the waterside. It was great the pool had extended hours as we checked in after 7 pm and they still had time to swim. Breakfast was good, standard hotel breakfast. Waffles, cereal, toast, eggs, sausage, yogurt. Staff was very friendly,

Gwen, the lady who checked me in for our stay was terribly rude and gave no information whatsoever about the hotel. The bed was incredibly hard and very uncomfortable. The tiny square pillows made it even more uncomfortable.

Nice if you have good neighbors

Breakfast was great, really appreciated the fresh macerated strawberries. The only issue was thickness of walls. Heard the neighbor's dog barking and kids screaming all evening, night and morning.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever!! Filthy!!

Trash was overflowing, breakfast was cold, help was very rude, no fitness center, rooms very nasty. Tried talking with manager but he refused to talk about anything. Was only trying to have the $250 reduced to at least $180. Im a traveling Nurse and stay at alot of hotels was just hoping for a little compassion. Thank you for your time. Sonya Bland RN

We enjoyed Black Beach Inn for the convenience of a mini getaway with our dog. The pet friendly room was perfect. Maybe a suggestion is to remove all the carpeting. We could access the outside on the ground floor to pet area right from our room. We didn't stay here for the view of the lake because there is minimal views. I knew we were going to be outside seeing the sights all day and just needed a place to chill in the evening. Our room was clean. I used the public pool/hot tub felt great after a day of hiking. Our room also had the jacuzzi tub for relaxing in after a day of hiking. Overall we enjoyed the stay. Dining option were limited. We tried Cove Point Crossings pizza one night and the second day we were in Grand Marais and many dining options there.
