The pool was freezing cold but clean. The view from room 301 was phenomenal. Ocean and Avalon were beautiful to see.

Great room! Just as described! Easy walk to food, shopping, and walks on the coast!

The pictures make this place seem nicer then it actually is. It's pretty run down. Firstly I did not realize what a steep hill it's on, it was not easy hiking up it with all our luggage, beware it's steep. It would have been nice to know that more. The absolute best thing is the view from the corner king room we got. You do see the ocean from there. But because of those windows you get light flooding in the room by the porch light that gets left on all night. The windows are not blackout curtains, they are curtains from the 70's at least (bring eye shades of you need it dark). You get what you pay for I suppose. The floor is so loud and wavey, makes you feel drunk. The bed is soft, loud as well and very bouncy. We didn't use the kitchen but the fridge made a terrible noise all night long (bring ear plugs). AC/heat was another terribly noisy thing, we actually didn't even use it the whole time we were there, because it never seemed to actually do anything but make noise.

Lovely views and scenery. Very relaxing and peaceful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

The hotel is not cared for.....hallways, stairways are all unkept. There are some safety issues with flooring and overhead covers in hallways. Air conditioning/heat system projects loud fan sounds....rooms not even minimally stocked with kitchenware. The bathroom light includes a fan....and that too was so loud. Saul, a staff person, was very helpful and interested in hearing about our concerns. He did get a technician to adjust the TV volume setting.....and the TV is located above the air/heating system with loose cords dangling from the TV

Room was very clean. Staff is friendly. No ocean view from our room. Extremely noisy to an extent we couldn't sleep. Pillows are too soft. After 2 nights, we got severe neck and shoulder pain. Air condition unit old and super noisy too. The shower head had mold & mildew. Even though the bathroom looks like recently updated, it seems they've saved on the shower head and kept the old one. The location is superb.
