Nice room, bathroom could use an update

The bathroom had tiles missing underneath the sink and the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor was corroded. The bed and pillows were very good. Very quiet. Could have used some kind of hook on the back of the bathroom door for our toiletry bag. Room itself was clean.

I rented 3 rooms through Expedia for graduation weekend. Due to circumstances beyond my control, only 1 room was needed for 2 nights, not 3 rooms. I understand that there was a “no refund policy after April 2, and the rooms were to be used May 2&3, but having a no refund date 1 month before the rooms were to be used seems excessive when almost every hotel gives you a refund if the cancellation takes place 24 hours before. It’s not a customer friendly policy and the manager was not sensitive to the fact that we couldn’t use the other rooms. Expedia tried to step in but there was no flexibility unfortunately. I will consider it a lesson because of the large amount of money I lost and will not use a Super 8, privately managed hotel again.

The property and rooms were average for the price. The property advertised breakfast included, however, coffee and a granola bar are not breakfast. It seems yogurt and fruit are only served on weekends. In many hotels coffee service is a standard amenity, please do not advertise as breakfast included when there is no breakfast.

The property is clean and tidy. Seems a little run down over time. The towels are very used and need replaced. The shower rod was either broken or bent and the shower curtain kept sliding open as showering. The continental breakfast has very limited selection but there was breakfast.

It was a clean hotel. The staff was moderately friendly and helpful. I was uncomfortable being watched at all times. I caught staff members peeking around the corner at me. Twice. We were told not to enter or exit in any of the side doors besides the front entrance. I took it as they wanted to watch who entered and exited. Also, the owners family live in the hotel. Just a weird situation all around.

Nice place to stay

Really just needed a place to stay close to my sister. We had full busy days and got back to the room late and left in the morning. This was a perfect place for that. The room was clean comfortable and quiet.

Spacious room; sad breakfast

We were pleased with the ability to have three queen beds so our teens could have their own beds! We had a plumbing issue but the staff fixed it quickly. They should not advertise that breakfast is included when the coffee is cold and the food is either a granola bar or a wrapped pastry. We went out to eat the first morning and bought breakfast items at a grocery store for the second.

Nice place. Quiet. Out of the State St traffic. For the inflated, college town rate you charge, you could have more of a breakfast than yougurt and coffee.

Not sure if it's worth even a 3 star

Room stunk. A good mix of a smoke, body odor, and chemicals used to cover it. The mattresses hurt our backs pretty bad. TV didn't have any channels available when we checked as if it had no service. Had to have a front desk attendant find them. They blamed an updated server and there is a longer way to get to the channels. Inconvenient. Holes in the walls from previous furniture look bad. New furniture looks and smells terrible!
