Hotel looks to be going through the remodel process had a guy come banging on my door asking for food that he said was delivered when I called the lobby about this problem they already knew what was going on the attendant should of called me and resolved the situation before letting this guy come banging on my door seems to be a lot of people living there not vacationing living there and from prior experiences these people are usually the problem I won’t be staying there again

The smell of old musty mildew was almost unbearable. Room was not the cleanest, the pics look excellent like it’s updated but it was poorly done and very shoddy work making it subpar and lacking. The only thing going for the hotel is the location right on the water. This place charges way too much for a poorly done, smelly room. Will not book again. Which is a shame as Daytona is frequently my weekend getaway.

The room was clean enough and the price was average but I disagree completely with the $28 rip off "resort" fees that they charge! For what?, I asked. The attendant said it was for the use of the pool, house keeping and parking. When you can't check in until 4 pm, have to leave by 11 the next day, and the temperature is 35 degrees outside where the pool is?? Really? And you have to pay to park your car? Really? And for housekeeping when we are only in the room to sleep? And to top it off, we got to the hotel at 9 pm, turned the tv and it didnt even work. They had to send someone into the room to detach the tv from the wall and replace it ! Some resort!

The bad; The room was very dingy, dirty, and absolutely not clean. The couch was very dirty and grimy - needed to be replaced years ago. The hide-a-bed in the couch had significant rust on the frame and what looked like mold on the mattress. No direct guidance on parking but was woken up to be told to re-park my car into a double-park location that they failed to divulge when checking in (requiring me to hand over my keys if I was the outer car in the double-park spot). Minor quip - the 'drink voucher' they provided was only good until 9PM which of course limited it's use in the evening when one might want to actually have a drink. Good side; bathroom was decently clean. Facilities worked as you'd expect. Staff was reasonably helpful and accommodating. If we were there for the beach instead of the Rolex 24 Endurance Race at the Daytona International Speedway, I'm sure the other amenities would be appreciated. VERY close to DIS - less than 15min with traffic.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was not great. The electrical outlets did not work, the shower backed up, the sliding window was extremely dirty, the elevator is extremely slow and the parking is not great. We needed to work a little and the internet stopped working often.

When we checked in they gave us a room that was down graded from what I reserved. I told them that we reserved a double queen room with a sitting room. They said since I reserved it through a third party they had no way of knowing what I reserved. I had taken pictures of the reservation and of the room. Also, I had called the hotel after I made the Expedia reservation to ensure I had the room I mentioned, They said I was fine. We had four people staying in the room and need the sitting area. After showing the desk person my pictures she said they had those rooms available and would upgrade me. It worked out perfectly.

We loved everything about Boardwalk Inn and Suites. Very nice, clean, rooms were perfect, comfortable, spacious and we could walk outside right to the beach. Walking distance to food and shops too. Staff was great also. We will definitely stay here again!

However, when we approached the bed and pulled back the blanket and pillows, we discovered yellow stains, visible dirt, and even hair on both beds. The bed sheets were clearly unclean, with dark spots on the linens. Since it was already midnight, we did not want to disturb the staff. Instead, we went to our car and brought our own blanket to place on the bed so we could sleep. We were extremely disappointed with this experience. When I checked out and informed the front desk staff about the situation, her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. I am writing this review in hopes that management will read it and take action to properly clean and replace the bedding for future guests
