South Carolina ski resorts

My husband and I stayed for five nights at the Sonesta Resort and found it to be a relaxing environment with helpful staff. There are two restaurants within the hotel and the food is good but overpriced. The pool areas were heated and well kept. We enjoyed the ping pong table and badminton in the entertainment area. The beach was easily accessible and close to a food shack if you wanted a snack while enjoying the ocean view. The hotel room was spacious and recently updated for a new feel. The bathroom was spacious as well and I was pleased there was a bathtub and shower. There was no closet in the room, however, and only a small space to hang a few clothing items. The bathroom had a stand alone sink with no space for toiletries. I used the foldable luggage rack to place my small suitcase on so my hair and skin care items were within reach.

Noise and voices could easily be heard in adjoining rooms. Unfortunately, the inconsiderate people next to me were ignorant, extra loud and could care less. The walls and ceilings must have been paper thin too. I stayed here seven and a half years ago and it hasn't been updated: chipped paint, missing caulk, molding coming off, etc.

Easy paid parking but can come & go as you want. Great location in center of everything. Nice hotel pool, restaurant & bar.

Everything was enjoyable

It was a great space and clean for our weekend getaway. We had a wedding in SC. The hotel is also not far from shops.
