Nice place

The hotel is in lovely grounds by the River Avon & has lots of parking space. The location is within easy reach by car of Kenilworth, Stoneleigh Abbey, Leamington Spa and Warwick. The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a bit small but fine if not many are using it. Breakfast is a bit expensive if you pay for it separately and a bit early for us, during the week, but there was a good selection in the buffet and menu, although you had to pay extra for some dishes. The dinner was tasty although my fish dish was a bit salty. The hotel isn't very eco friendly. There were little water bottles in the bedroom & we were given more the second day. I saw a trolley full of them. This is a lot of plastic waste. There is no need for plastic water bottles: wevfilled our own water bottles with water from the bar. Also, although we were encouraged to not discard barely used towels, one of my towels was uneccessarily replaced.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Layout of hotel was very good. Looked a little worn in places but decor in the communal areas was great. Garden area was very nice, parking was excellent. Breakfast choices and quality was very good. Location to town was very convenient

Great location and nice place to stop. Though set up for tourist market for the castle itself, more then fine for my business trip. Short walk to town centre and train station, in nice surroundings.
