Boys trip

Took my sons for before school starts trip. Affordable on the river. Clean pool and playground. Fishinh dock perfect for watching the sunsets.

I have stayed here numerous times and have always loved the hotel, this time I had a bad experience and is the reason for my rating. Overall location, the pool, front desk staff, security and the room are great. Breakfast is very bland and no decaf coffee , which surprised me. My rating is due to money being stolen from my room. We had stopped and taken out $40.00 so we could play darts that night at the bar and when we came back from dinner the $40 was gone along with $17.00 both of which were on the dresser. We noticed our room had been cleaned, very late in the day and we searched everywhere in our room. We reported to the front desk and Housekeeping Manager but have heard nothing back. I have never had this issue in any hotel I have ever stayed, but lesson learned.

Non-smoking….uhhh, not really!!!

Very few hotels now allow smoking within a certain distance from the rooms. This hotel allows smoking on the rooms that have balcony. The balconies are not divided and are right in front of each rooms doors. Therefore, if you are coming down the walkway your room, you walk-through clouds of smoke if someone is on their “balcony.” smoking. Also, as soon as you open your door, your neighbor smoke enters your room. This hotel has a playground, boat, dock, and fishing pier adjacent to the property where smoking would be more appropriate in this area. If you are intolerant of secondhand smoke, as I am, it creates a health issue for me.
