This home and location is awesome- it is close enough to town to be convenient but its location also makes you feel as if you are the only person on your private beach. The beachfront is massive and beautiful. The home is exactly as described, clean and well apportioned with a fantastic new deck. The only hesitancy I have in recommending is you might book the week I want to come back which will be soon

Location, location, location!

Our family just stayed at Tranquility Base for a week. The location is perfect with very few people on the beach, making it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The communication was excellent, the house was well stocked with dishes and cookware, games for the family, and an excellent view of the ocean. They are also dog friendly, so even our fur babies had a blast. We will be back.

Our 2023 Family Vacation

We really look forward to our family getaway each year. This property was in a great location for us as we like the off the path and less people to have to deal with. Perfect. Our travel plans changed and we wanted to check in 1 hour early and was told we could not. Very disappointing since there was no one at the property the night before and no cleaning crew was there at all as we sat outside from 3pm till 3:55pm waiting for the door to unlock. I emailed trying to get is a little early but was told NO. Not sure why since it was only 1 hour. The property does have some issues. It seemed to be clean however we always clean anything that we stay at before unpacking. We did notice that holes in the walls had been repaired but not repainted over. Make it look bad. The inside could use a fresh coat of paint. The outside also. Front entry door is very stained and dirty. There is some rot and mold in the window trim wood, take a look in the master bedroom. Missing fire detector we did find it on top o the refrigerator. The back deck is a safety hazard. Nails are above the wood causing a tripping hazard. Boards are very old, worn, wrapped and are uneven. It appears they someone laid boards on top of boards that were already there. The steps leading down from the top level to the middle level on the left side are cracked and give way to anyone stepping on them. A very heavy person may break thru. No one should walk on the back deck without shoes on. Luckily we did not

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent for being away from the crowd and having access to the beach and view. Easy direct route to shopping and restaurants. House was very spacious. All enjoyed our stay. The cleaning could be better including the furnature and rugs. Horrible fish smell in the refrigerator/freezer. We had to buy several boxes of baking soda to help remove the smell. Water faucets in the showers were hard to control temperature. The yard had a lot of trash that needed to be cleaned up. Good experience and would rent again.

Tranquility base review

Nice place to escape to the beach. Property was perfect for a week getaway. There was a couple minor flaws, vinyl flooring was coming apart and subfloor has some soft spots. The air conditioning filters need replaced and vents need cleaning. Would be nice to have a gas grill instead of an old charcoal grill that needed cleaning before use. Also charcoal doesn't work in high humidity very well. There was an exterior light hanging by one wire. Other wise had a great week and almost private beach a few days due to being a few miles away from the "city/shopping/restaurant area". The exterior was well maintained and check-in / check-out was simple texts. We would recommend after new flooring and a bit of AC maintenance inside. Overall great week getaway.

Quiet location near the end of the road. Short jaunt into town for food, activities and shopping.

Great place to create memories. Sea life that came a shore were amazing sights, the location was private, a little piece of heaven. Looking forward to returning.

Easy to get to, Great Location and just far enough away to feel more like a private beach.

We only stayed 5 nights and the views of the ocean were great. Every day Sunrise and Sunsets from the deck or from the beach(just a few steps from the deck) were beautiful!! Our pet Corgi was also welcomed on the beach every one we met was excepting of pets on the beach and everyone cleaned up after there pets beach was exceptionally clean. House could use some updates but overall I would definitely recommend it to any one who wants a quiet place to relax with a great view and pet friendly. Thanks we had a great time.

Great property!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful time! The location was perfect, right on the beach! The deck was amazing, the view of the ocean and sound of the waves was therapeutic! Caught red fish right across the street in the lagoon and caught a huge sting ray in the surf. We will be back!

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot

First trip to Gulf Shores and house was exactly what we were looking for. Right on the ocean, but away from the busy parts of town. We just had four of us there, but it easily could have supported another family of four to share the cost if needed. We will be back in the future.

Gulf shores

Checking was very easy and we were able to be relaxed coming in late. The house is at a great location on a quiet beach. The kitchen was well equipped. The house is in desperate need of a remodel which makes it seem dirtier than it was. It had a few areas that needed re-cleaned but the management company did volunteer to send the cleaners back. They also sent the maintenance personnel to fix the shower. Humorously they definitely hold you to the checkout time as they were parked outside at 15 till :) Overall it was a nice stay

Family vacation 2020

We take a family vacation yearly. House had great space! Could use some updating. Disappointed on the deck view and outdoor furniture. No tables at all. Chairs were awful! We love to sit on the deck and drink our morning coffee and eat outside. The walk over the dunes to get to the beach was long and hot. Hard to do if you have any health issues. Other than some updating we had a great time.
