Favorite hotel for 25 years

Always been a favorite, it’s like I grew up here. Unfortunate things like the spa still needing repaired and a few cosmetic repairs needed but this is a charming place and so peaceful. The service is wonderful and they’re very accommodating. The restaurant and pub are also wonderful, offering great food and environment.

Property grounds and hotel were beautiful, quiet and plenty of areas to relax. The property grounds and common areas are in need of a little attention, general TLC and landscaping upkeep. Would stay here again. The staff was inviting and friendly.

So i downloaded the app to leave a review i was surprised when I didn't get one. So the only beef I have with our stay. Around 3 AM Saturday morning we were awakened by the fire alarm going off there was nothing wrong in our room so we got dressed and went out into the hallway we're nobody seemed to know what was happening. We went outside and sat in our vehicle and shortly after that the fire department showed up did a walk through and left they were on site for approximately 25 minutes and then we went back into our room. My huge problem with the whole thing there was no hotel staff to be found nothing was said no directions we're given. It was just over. The next morning at check out nothing was said about it. It was asif nothing happened. I am quite disturbed by the fact that there were no evacuation percedure in place the guests were left to figure out everything on their own I'm so glad it was a fluke and not a real fire who knows what might have happened. So to recap everything else about the property was great

Memorial Day Weekend

We booked for three nights. Check-in was fast and friendly. Our room was spacious. The beds were comfortable and we had a small balcony. The mattress was soft and comfortable , the pillows were a bit spongy. The outdoor garden area was beautiful. My daughters enjoyed looking for frogs and watching the ducks. The outdoor fire pit seated 6 people, and we were lucky enough to get to sit by the fire for a bit. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off at 3am on the first night and at 12:30am on the third night of our stay. So our family awakened and went outside to wait for the fire department. Fortunately, both were false alarms. The hotel didn't not do a good job letting us know that it was safe to re enter the building, so we were outside waiting longer than necessary. To further exasperate the situation, the hotel is big, and oddly designed. The lack of signage made it difficult to find our room after the fire drill. Would likely not have been an issue if we went directly to our room, but we went to the main lobby to verify the false alarm. In addition, on our first night (at approximately 7:30am) there was some activity in the hallway, just outside our room, that resulted in something hitting the wall outside our room causing a picture to fall off the wall inside our room. This also awakened the family. Overall...we really like this hotel, but it could benefit from better signing and enforcing the No Smoking policy.

Love this hotel! Super convenient having a bar where you can order food. The staff is always so friendly and I love the big bath tub! I also really enjoy the patio/balcony off of the room!
